Words can’t describe how grateful I am for this opportunity! I’m so excited to be a part of the amazing culture of empowerment and excellence that
@coachtillett
has created here! Let’s get to work 💪🏽 💙🤍
This right here is giving me allll the life today! No question why they’re number one... when the HC and PG can communicate like this.... you’re bound to win 👏🏽

Never get bored with simple basketball. Pass and cut, the easy pass, the one more pass, regular layups, shot fakes, pass fakes, the list goes on. There is beauty and success in the simplicity of this game!
This virus is causing me more heartbreak than any of my past relationships..... first no NCAA tournament and now no WBCA convention?!? Excuse me while I eat 17 boxes of pizza and 2 pints of ice cream the rest of this month.
I rather be in a gym from 8am to 10pm freezing all day and running out of snacks than working some 9-5 job that I hate behind a desk in a cubicle...

My mom called asking me to convince my little niece to go to a free week of gymnastics camp. She picks up the phone and said “Titi I know why you’re calling and Im not going to gymnastics camp, when is bball camp?” Her first time picking up a ball and this happens. Sorry mom 🤷🏽♀️
So incredibly grateful for this opportunity! It’s been a long time coming. My path up to this point hasn’t always been easy but it’s been worth it! I’m so happy to be here and be a part of such a great program! Thank you
@RekhaPatterson
for bringing me into the family!

I absolutely love when a recruit calls and is just so polite. They are holding conversation and sound both excited and grateful to be on the phone. There is nothing better than that! Parents you are doing a great job 👏🏽

For other young aspiring coaches like myself.. remember you don’t have to play at the highest level to be a great coach at the highest level! Keep your head down, put in the work ( extra work) and believe in yourself!!
My mental health counseling degree is so relevant to coaching. Just read about how counseling is not a “one size fits all” process. I believe the same in coaching. All of our players are different people and we need to use different approaches to reach them! Fair but not equal.
I want to preface by saying that I‘ve been a GA 3 out of the 5 years I’ve been coaching at the college level
For the first time, someone said to me “you’ve been a GA 3 times already, how much more are you going to sacrifice to make it”
My response: As long as I need to.

When my brother passed a few months ago it showed me that tomorrow really isn’t promised. That life is short, and sometimes extremely hard. Tonight, I am painfully reminded of that once again 🤍 Hug the people you love, be kind to every person you encounter, be thankful each day
My first day on the recruiting trail as a full time assistant. I’ve been here before as a GA but this time feels a little different. This morning I woke up to a motivational text with important nuggets and cheat codes for the day from my one and only
@Armintie
!My soul sister ❤️
My dad taught me everything I know about the game. But something that always stuck out to me was “defense travels”. You may have an off shooting night, nerves & crowd might get to you on the road, but you can always control your defense, because all that takes is heart & hustle!
I turned 30 today and my parents flew out here and surprised me 🥺 because yes I was having a mid-life crisis 😂
grateful for another year and even more grateful for where I am, and the people I am surrounded by 🤍
Anyone can make an already great player better, can you take a player who hasn’t quite figured out how to make it click yet, and turn them into a player that can produce and be successful??
Hard work is not a light switch.. you cannot turn it on and off when you feel like it. There will come a time when you need the light to come on and the switch will be broken.
This warmed my heart in ways I can’t explain. I got into coaching to do 1 thing; grow these players as people! It’s been an honor to work with Kira, I learned so much about her and myself as a coach. She truly is a unicorn. She’s SO special. Sky is the limit

My little niece texted me today “I didn’t make the basketball team, but it’s okay”
It took everything inside me but I responded with “you’re right, it is okay and we will get you ready and you’ll make it next year”
What I really wanted to say… “what’s that coach’s name” 😂
Today I got the chance to ride in the car with my HC for 6 hours. I hit him with about 1745643 different questions lol! So grateful to work for someone who is not only full of knowledge but more than willing to teach me/ share it with me 🙌🏽
This year will be my 2nd time being a GA. I say that because if you want something bad enough you’ll do whatever it takes to get it. In the end, I’ll have 1 Bachelors and 2 Masters. Successful people can’t get to where they are without a little sacrifice.

S/O to all of the DOBOS who are having to plan trips, meals, hotels, and everything else in a minutes notice during this covid season. I know it’s a scramble trying to get things running smoothly for a team when games are canceling and rescheduling all over the place!
#realMVPS
With my brother passing away 2 weeks ago its been increasingly hard to find the motivation to get refocused. Mourning the loss while still trying to make him proud feels impossible. This morning, I saw a cardinal on my lawn in MA for the first time in 27 years of living here. ❤️
My dad use to have me in my basement doing ball handling drills, breaking down my own game film on the living room couch and in my driveway shooting/rebounding for myself. Never appreciated it then but with this whole shut down players could learn a thing or two from that stuff!
He sets the tone and our players follow! He gives them the map and they find their own way!! So grateful to be a part of a program like this. Congratulations!! 💙🏀🧡

At

lecture talk and the room is packed! Absolute inspiration/ true role model. She doesn’t care where you’re at/ from, she doesn’t act like she’s above you. As an upcoming coach it’s inspiring because she lets you know it’s ACHIEVABLE! More importantly I didn’t
Guys, parents are so important to the recruiting process and so much respect to them for traveling all over the country and spending so much money for their children to play basketball! Please don’t discount that!

means to her.
When I was leaving she said she hoped to see me again. I went home and did some research on where she lives. I now plan to go visit her every so often. We all need people because that’s what keeps us going. It’s not everyday you meet someone with 101 years worth of knowledge!
My dad to me after listening to
@AdiaBarnes
interview on ESPN radio this morning ..... “she’s showing you it’s possible. It’s all possible. Having a family, being a great coach, it’s all right there if you work for it”
Two nights ago at Walmart I ran into bathroom to wash my hands. Omw out a woman came in in a wheel chair. She asked me how old I was, I said 27. She smiled and said I’m 101. From there we talked for 30 minutes. I began to walk out and she grabbed my arm, she wasn’t ready to stop
I may lose some sleep over that missed backcourt call for Troy down 2 with a chance to beat a 2 seed...... that’s not okay.... and not a good missed call for our game.
2020 made it clear that I needed to pick up a new hobby.. because a distraction outside of work and recent events would be much needed! So.... I started baking from scratch (cakes and cupcakes) this is the strawberry cake I made yesterday... gives me some joy looking at it.
Having a successful team isn’t always about having the best talent. Team chemistry and coachable players will go a lot further than extremely talented players who aren’t bought in.
I love a blue collar player. Doesn’t care about her appearance, locked in during warms ups, keeps it simple and is ready to do the dirty work and get after it 👔🏀

If I learned anything this week it’s that when you don’t have a scheduled game to watch, go around and see as many games as possible. No matter the team or how far the court, because sometimes the game that no one is watching is the place you find that next great player!
#beallin
When you shoot your shot and email a very successful/ proven coach, inquiring about their post player development philosophies and drills and they email you back in great detail with all the feedback!!
Let’s grow our game! I’m so grateful. Life long learner! 🙏🏽🔥
Not everyone is on the same path as you are. Stay the course, work hard and do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do. Not because you think someone will notice.
THAT FACE WHEN YOU JUST GOT DRAFTED 🤩🤩🤩 CONGRATULATIONS Chels I am so freaking proud. You deserve it. It’s only up from here. I’ve been saying it all year and I’ll say it again, the sky is the limit for you 💫 can’t wait to continue following your career 💛💛💛💛💛
So proud of our girls tonight. Double over time against a great team and they battled until the final horn went off. As a coach, cannot ask for more than that. They never quit and they never lost confidence.
This was amazing to watch. S/O to their staff for making this video and most importantly still finding the joy and love for their season/ bond in the midst of such a devastating time for sports programs all around the world!! ❤️💛
It makes my day when I get texts from my previous players at past jobs. When it’s all said and done it’s about the relationships we’ve built and the lives we’ve impacted. It’s not about the games we’ve won.
Praying that my brother gives our family some strength to get through this first Christmas without him. No amount of presents can fill that hole for his kids this year. Hoping some prayers and a little help from God will! 🙏🏽🤍🕊
I’m a proud position coach! Getting in the gym, planning workouts, watching film, it’s all so fun when you have players that want to soak in every word and every learning opportunity! We learn from each other and we stay curious! 💙🤍 so proud of you

Yesterday we had a recruit on campus, and one of our players decided she wanted to join the tour with us (which the recruit and her mom loved). During the tour, I decided to let our player take over some of the talking at different buildings around campus. This did 3 things:
Told my dad I was going to buy him a brand new car one day to thank him for everything he’s done for me growing up... his response: “I think you mean a house” 😂😭 I got you dad, a house it is.
