Tonight I had our catchers warm up then test 5 throw downs with zero interference by me. We then cooled down, did 15 throws with different intent with each throw. No drills, no weird positions. Here is how they improved: Sophomore in HS - 2.18 to 2.05 Freshman in HS - 2.26 to 2.08 8th Grader - 2.47 to 2.18 I do acknowledge that fact that with the more throws would have likely improved these times BUT I just love the fact that I can verbally cue changes MINIMALLY and we see results. Next week we are testing if these athletes can read if a runner is going while still hitting these times (we don’t waste strikes)!This will be the extreme test! #catching #softball #athletes @ogxsoftball
