He volunteer endless hours for our program. His dedication to improving our athletes & program was unmatched. He had to be restrained by his wife to rest and not show up at the track when he was battling cancer but would call me everyday about what I was doing with his throwers.
Doug Weikert was our Throws Coach for 5 years, his athletes still own all 6 of our throwing event school records.

The calm b4 the storm. I say it all the time, early mornings with the decathletes and heptathletes in big championships are my favorite time of the year. The feeling is hard to describe if you weren’t a decathlete or heptathlete. You have been waiting all year and it is here.
