Anyone considering investing in Rivian should be forced to stare at this chart for ten minutes first.

@GreyAlien No, less code means fewer places for bugs to creep in. Its undeniably the better way to arrange code.

Making indie games is tough - it's a marathon of coding, creativity, and constant learning. But remember, every line of code optimized, every bug squashed, is a step closer to your vision. Keep pushing, keep refining, and never stop believing in your game. Perseverance is key! #IndieDev

@ChrisZheng001 But he is backing an administration thats trying to kill EVs, so he is still not vaguely acting as CEO. They need to fire his ass immediately. He can go play politics full time.

@RBReich How the fuck can you be this stupid? Read the reply from the finance VP, then resign in embarrasment. I pity everyone who pays to study at Berkeley under you. #TotallyFuckingWrong

Testing some maths in C++ with 5million random sine and cosine queries. Basic sin() and cos() is 123ms replacing with a lookup table of 0.1 degree precision: 32ms As above, but batching the sin/cos pair into one function: 19ms.

@James_BG Too many politicians read the newspapers and watch broadcast TV news. Which means they are super in touch with people in their seventies and eighties, but nobody else. GBNews/Mail are trivial compared to social media, and have disproportionate impact on policy.

A good example of what happens when you let idiotic corrupt cryptobros run a country: You have to backpedal on all of ti while begging the IMF for money: I do hope the US avoids trump being talked into copying this absolute shitshow, but I suspect they will.

One of the many, many things you do not think about wen doing the budget for a solar farm is the anti-climb spikes for CCTV towers to stop people trying to disable them. Why are people such dicks? Anyway, we have them, and 24/7 cameras with infared and intrusion detection. Amusingly 95% of the intrusion detection alerts are rabbits :D.

Its insane that some people think deepseek will hurt nvidia and tsmc's valuation. Do people think that AI progress is over? That al anybody needs is deepseek level performance, and thus fewer GPUS? This is insane. Firstly we are not at zero hallucinations yet, let alone AGI. I think both those things are coming (and very soon), but I fully expect people to think that once someone achieves AGI, that the race is over. Thats even more crazy... Firstly no country will be happy to rely on AGI from another, so you will need training for US/EU/China versions of AGI, and likely many more than that. I expect India to want a home-trained AGI model, also probably Japan. But then the race is on for ASI, and all models suggest that the gap between AGI and ASI is very small. The breath of human intelligence is pretty small. At that point, investment in GPUs and supporting infrastructure to train ASI models will only accelerate, not decelerate. Imagine an ASI that can cure cancer, or that can produce vastly more efficient solar panels, or design more efficient EVs, or diagnose diseases way earlier and cheaper. Imagine an ASI that solves nuclear fusion, or can detect financial fraud with 100% accuracy. The economic benefits of ASI are staggering. Any country left behind in the ASI race is going to become effectively a client state of the AI superpowers. I cannot imagine a better investment right now than AI and energy. AI will need a ton of power, chips, and supporting infrastructure. Its not going to slow down or stop any time soon. If you do not own some NVDA, TSMC and similar stocks, you are not investing properly :D.

I have just discovered a radical new theory that explains absolutely everything in severance. This theory CHANGES EVERYTHING and is a must read for all severance fans: Its just a TV show.

@g__j @BBCr4today Sadly Britain has developed a culture of cynical negativity where 'bloke in the pub' types pour scorn on absolutely everything. Its depressing and holds our country back.
