@ShellyAsquith @OurRepublicScot Shocking. But what should we expect in a 'democracy' with an unelected Head of State and more unelected Lords than MPs.

@MikeStewart79 It's currently 25% and is decided by government. The illustrations you have shown only came into use in 2011 as an abstract justification for the obscene cost of Monarchy. Charles couldn't keep the revenues if he wanted. He can't sell up, he doesn't manage it. It is public money.

@DubhglasTurner You will find a lot of pro independence people in F.E., like myself. However, there is no hiding from the fact the current Scottish Government has gouged out the college sector and devalued vocational education.

@gibson1983 That's how representative polls work. Because they did not ask you personally doesn't mean they are invalid. It's not an isolated poll either. There are others with similar results.

@Danbox14 45% is not a majority. Support amongst younger age groups markedly lower. Seems you may be in a bubble.

@DrKimShepherd @Otto_English What better opportunity would there be to sort the constitution than when electing a Head of State?

@Izzy_Wizzie @Otto_English The U.K. is not a stable country. There has been civil war in parts of it right up until the 1990's. The stability of Scandinavian countries is much more to do with the fairness and equality in the nations than having a Monarch. In the U.K. the Monarchy is the icon of inequality
