I did it and look at this for support

Sometimes people wonder how I get in/out the car, get my wheelchair in & then drive when I am paralysed from the chest down.
Lightweight wheelchairs, car adaptions etc give independence back 😁(people parking in disabled bays with no blue badge often remove this independence)😱
#ImpossibleIsNothing
Impossible= I’m possible.
Never rode a motorbike before being paralysed. When it was suggested I admit that I thought ‘surely that is impossible with no movement or sensation from the chest down’
The impossible can become possible if we give it a go!
Thanks to the four kind men who carried me up & down the stairs at Liverpool St tube station today- we were going to miss our train home if we didn’t get on this platform as the one with no steps went the wrong way. This shows how generous people usually are when ask for help 😘
Freedom is going from wheelchair into a monoski (paralysed from the chest down) I was unbelievably useless when I started skiing but always knew it was worth working hard to get this kind of fun. Just returned from an amazing time in

This is what I love about this sport. I am paralysed -no feeling or movement from the chest down, no bladder/bowel control, poor circulation and temp control etc BUT I have learnt to ride a bike and none of this matters- just a bit of Velcro and a gear shifter and I am away :)
Starting this week with an interview on BBC Morning Live with

about my recent achievement…..
Last in the mum’s race at Sport’s Day. 🤣🙈
I did it for my daughter who was a little sad I came last but really proud too. ❤️
I explained that if I

as speaking at an event this morning. Sorry if I stink today but this has to be the most useless accessible shower I have seen! How the hell do I get up there ?! 😂
If someone showed me these photos when I was lying in hospital having found out I am paralysed from the chest down and told me ‘this will be you one day!’ I would never have believed it. I had never even sat on a motorbike! Thanks

Paralysis is life changing effecting bowel/bladder, sensation, movement. Any donations help keep me walking :) 😘
My 40th birthday today 🤦♀️🎂😁
Plan this wkend:
Go Karting,Spa day & restaurant!
Can’t do any of it but it takes me back to what I leant from my accident: don’t dwell on what you can’t do- focus on what you can do so we went cycling & have a meal at home still with my fav people!
“Sometimes life closes doors because it’s time to move forward. That’s a good thing because we often won’t move unless circumstances force us to”

6th May ♿️ 12 years without walking, without eventing, basic everyday tasks tend to be slower/harder & loss of bowel/bladder function.

I don’t know who is dafter. Is it me for learning to ride a motorbike even though I am paralysed from the chest down or Dan for being willing to stand in front of me and catch me?
I am a very lucky girl (but a nervous one too.)
@DucatiUK
are kindly supporting
#clairesbsb
and here is my seriously smart Ducati Supersport. At Silverstone now to have my first go on it - in preparation for tomorrow’s charity lap.
When I had my accident I had to find new ways of doing most things(basic tasks) It used to be challenging & frustrating .
Today I got off my handbike, move to sofa to get back in wheelchair.
When we accept our situation most obstacles can be overcome. No longer hard but normal!
It has been a long time but I did it- lifted back on a bike for a track day at
@CadwellPark
… I felt apprehensive and nervous but my word- I am glad I did it!!
When I had my accident that left me paralysed, two of my main worries were ‘would I ever have children?’ and ‘how would I stay fit if I couldn’t move from the chest down?’
Today my daughter and I cycled 16 miles😁 I have 45 to do this weekend to reach my week’s goal of 120 miles.
Please please please 🙏🏻let me do a charity lap of the Isle of Man TT course at
@ManxGrandPrix
one day - I need a challenge with a motorbike!
#LondonMarathon
Day 1 ✅ 4 miles. I did miles 0-2 then a section without pavement whilst road was closed (miles 20-22) With all road closures I needed to make the most of it but I ache so much now! To support: or text LEGS60 £5 to 70070

For the first time today - I over took someone!! It felt amazing as I have never managed this on a bike or a marathon! Each time out I feel the improvement - got just over 100mph today too. New track for me but felt confident and loved it!
Tricky pavements slowing me down as I catch a foot .. every bump is a challenge. Chuffed to be past mile 10 (12 miles walked) or text LEGS60 £5 to 70070

Disappointed in the
@loosewomen
laughing that they use a disabled loo if there is a queue like it doesn’t matter. Disabilities often have bowel & bladder issues- one of the hardest sides of a spinal cord injury to cope with - often above inability to walk.
Nine miles of pushing in my motorcycling gear. The thought of having to do another 17 is horrendous ! BUT the thought that my effort will help children with disabilities have the mobility equipment they deserve is incredible. Pls suppprt if u can: 🙏🏻😘😁
Although this doesn’t look very impressive it is the slow stuff that is difficult - knowing I can’t put my feet down and being paralysed from chest down - balance can be an issue! Pleased with my progress today 🏍💨
2017 was 10 years since becoming paralysed and one of my best years! ❤️ Chloe arriving in Jan, MBE in Feb, motorbike race licence in July and

challenge in Oct. fundraising now at £620k. Some great plans for 2018. Have a great end to the year everyone 😘
Possibly the best day on track so far...
@Superbikeschoo1
put a new adaption on my bike to help me as I don't have any core strength due to paralysis from chest down.. it made a huge difference 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻😘

I still can’t believe THIS IS ME!! Learning to ride a bike knowing I can’t put my feet down and unable to feel anything other than handle bars to getting my ACU licence so I can ride on the track. Monday was my first track day with 40 others. (Thanks Lee Marshall for photo)

This is the horse I had my accident on. Today I found out Roland is no longer with us. Some amazing memories (one not so good😂) I will never forget him ❤️
He taught me this:

3 years after becoming paralysed from the chest down I was excited that I was pregnant but also worried my injury would stop us doing things together.
Here I am bringing my 12 year old daughter back from a flight last night
Many more mum & daughter adventures to come 🥰
Today’s training for
#LondonMarathon
was so hard. My motivation wasn’t there this morning but discipline won thankfully. Managed 13.1 miles
#halfmarathon
Didnt realise the leathers would be useful though! Went over the speed bump too fast,feet slid off footplate causing a crash!
Five miles completed today. In 2020 I will be returning to
@LondonMarathon
with the aim of finishing in the day.
Considering pushing across the pit lane in my leathers is hard work it is going to be tough but worth it to raise money for

⭐️BREAKING NEWS⭐️
My charity lap at the North West 200 has been moved to the main race day on Saturday.
This is positive news - forecast is☀️ & I should have the chance to join
@Plater22
later today in a car for advice on how to negotiate the course.
Thanks for the support 🙏🏻
What do you think to the new look for next season ? My exercise today was handcycling followed by trying on my new
@SpidiUK
leathers!
Hopefully my motorcycling can raise lots of funds to help amazing charities making a difference to so many people.

I can’t walk but I can fly!! When doors close find others to open.
Today I PASSED that final exam - General skills Test 😁 I’m now a pilot!
Thanks to all who helped me 🥰
Boom 💥 My furthest push. 11 miles today in the windy weather & some hills too. No idea how I will ever have the strength for more than double this distance though 😂 Can’t say motorcycling gear is the comfiest 🤦♀️but is isn’t made for pushing a marathon!!
This is the horse I had my accident on. ❤️

Paralysed from the chest down- the only part of the bike I can feel are the handlebars & with a gear shifter, toe clips and Velcro, I’m able to be on a track today. Never sat on a bike before my life changing accident- so grateful for many new opportunities & adaptions available.
That was INCREDIBLE but I am so pleased the nerves have gone!
Thanks to Mervyn Whyte for giving me this special opportunity and to
@Plater22
for leading me around the course.
Also all of you who have supported me and donated 🥰🙏🏻
Only one session left at the incredible

l can’t feel 2/3 of my body but the 1/3 I can aches soooo much! 6 months since ridden .. very pleased I haven’t forgotten what to do !

My youngest daughter (age 4) has been asking a bit about my accident and I explained that I collided with a tree whilst I was riding 🐎
She paused for a few seconds taking it all in, then replied…
‘Clumsy Oaf!’ 🤦♀️🤷♀️🤣
Instead of a 10 year challenge I am doing the 12 year challenge - and

is the word!
Most people may presume that I would be happier in the photo on the left. Wrong ❌
