Managed some incredibly good looks at this juvenile Buff-breasted sandpiper on the patches Tacumshin on Wednesday evening. Just lay in the grass and snap away. Pure magic! Co. Wexford
What a day at Tacumshin! Found a female Lesser Scaup and first-summer American Golden plover!! Fem Long-tailed duck, 5-6 Greater scaup, 2cy Spoonbill, summer long-billed dowither, 4 Ruff including a summer male, 16+ little gulls and 2 bearded reedling!!!

Amazing seawatching at the Bridges of Ross, Co. Clare yesterday. Tallies included. I saw one of the Little shears!! Wilson’s petrel was a lifer also!! Pomarine skua in the last video.

One of the two stunning Male yellow wagtail from the East coast nature reserve on Tuesday. Just dropped in mid afternoon! Not everyday you see Yellow, Ashy-headed, Citrine and white wagtails in Ireland!

Left a day early for Inishbofin where I’ll be leading a tour for the next few days, to see the Yellow-crowned night heron at Belcarra, Co. Mayo. What a bird!!!
