I have a large group of high school kids this year. They're good kids. We switched up how we rake bunkers a little this am and they handled it great. Loved the look of the bunkers after they went through them.

If you don't have sufficient anxiety in your life make sure you give aeration, backfilling and deep tining a stab during brutal heat and humidity. The grass is fine but my nerves are shot.

I will take the pepsi challenge on this. I have long held working conditions for golf course management operations is an embarrassment. It is a black eye on our profession and a key marker for how little value we have had in the eyes of stake holders. Glad it's getting better.
After 14 years in the worst maintenance building in all of golf, I can't tell you how excited we are to get into here. Almost done and long overdue!

Very vague post here. Without naming names, I have grown extremely frustrated with the cost of everything in golf: machines, accessories, equipment, etc. And after the club absorbs these costs it breaks. This isn't limited to one manufacturer or supplier. aggravating

Labor and diesel are making this without question our most costly endeavor and it's not close.

The rough

was mowed Tuesday. It won't be cut again this week.
The agronomy team uses only 20-inch hand mowers to minimize footprint and get the cleanest cut.
It took 24 operators five hours to cut 50 acres of primary rough.

I am determined not to have the 4th green here be my Waterloo. I was hesitant to put a spike in the ground yesterday but it handled a 7" deep tine on tight ish spacing very well. I blew in 4 full hoppers of sand. After some rolling and fert I will feel alot better.

It took 3 years of being lazy about it but finally tried hydrogen peroxide drench on a test plot. I took video but damn is it boring. And I'm stupid ugly. Interested to see what it looks like and feels like in am.

Very much digging 1 direction mowing. 15 labor hours at 5 operators and 3 hours over 30 acres. Tough to do inside of play and washing up after takes too long. Still, worth it to this point.

I can't believe I've lived 48 years without a cab on a tractor. I'm not sure I'll be able to go back to a tractor that does not have a Bluetooth radio and heat/ air conditioning
