Thanks for praying for a miracle. That miracle occurred yesterday when my precious Dad was fully healed and sanctified. Dad is now in perfect communion with His Savior Jesus Christ.

UPDATE: Dad is awake. Able to tell him I love him. He’s doing MUCH better. He recognized me, squeezed my hand, talked with me, and said he loved me. Praise God. Keep praying as it is still going to be a long and tough road forward.

10/25 UPDATE: Here is a picture of Dad. 12 days ago at 9:30pm PDT on Oct 13, my father stopped breathing and his heart stopped too. They did CPR for 7 minutes.
Today, he is clear-headed and in great spirits. So grateful to God and for your prayers. I am speechless.

My Dad had a stent put in on Tuesday. He was doing fine yesterday. Then his heart stopped last night. He is sedated now. Please pray my Dad's heart has a regular heartbeat and he wakes up!! PLEASE PRAY!!!!!

He fell a few hours ago in the parking lot going from one doctor’s appt to another. Mom couldn’t hold him up so he hit his head pretty hard. He is in ER with a concussion and internal bleeding, which hasn’t stopped because of blood thinners.

Dad is out of ICU today to a regular hospital room!! I wasn't allowed to see him, but Mom was. He didn't remember yesterday. He says he feels lonely when Mom's not there. PT assessment tomorrow. Nurse said she hasn't seen patients get to this point so quickly. It's a miracle!!

An FYI for those of you who so graciously pray for me and my parents. As many, healthy Americans are panicking, my 80-year-old Dad, my 78-year-old Mom, and I (HIV+) are doing our best to be wise/careful, but not panicked/fearful! But most importantly, putting our hope in Christ.

10/19 Update: Yesterday, heart ultrasound showed 50-55% ejection fraction which is considered normal! Was 30%. But Dad still has an irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation). Today, swallow test was good SO HE CAN EAT SOLID FOOD! Doctor says may release tomorrow or day after!!

10/23 UPDATE: Dad was released from the hospital yesterday evening to a wonderful skilled nursing facility in a Christian retirement community much closer to us. Dad is doing much better and in good spirits. Heart rate is stable. Pray his broken sternum and ribs heal (from CPR).

She had a nasty fall and tore her supraspinatus (rotator cuff) muscle (1.7cm retraction). We were able to get Mom in for arthroscopic surgery this Tuesday 12/12. It will be 6 months of recovery with the first 2 months in a sling.

10/21 UPDATE: Doctor tried another medication with IV. It worked well yesterday so they switched my father to the oral dose. The doctor would like for my father's heart to be regular (under 100 bpm) for 48 hours. If so, then he will be released on Friday! THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS!

Most recent update on my Mom - GOOD NEWS! The oncologist says the pathology report came back as BENIGN! Most likely a neurofibroma on the left crus of her diaphragm. We still need to make sure so a CAT scan is scheduled in 6 months. THANKS FOR PRAYING & PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!

Update on Dad: When I first got to ER at 6pm, doctor said things are bad—made it sound like this was it. 2nd CT scan wasn't good. Bleeding throughout brain. Surgery wouldn’t help since surgery only helps localized bleeding. But Mom and I said no matter what, we're going to fight!

UPDATE 11/30 (pm): Surgery is done. Doctor said everything went smoothly. Dad is staying in the hospital tonight. We can pick him up at 10am tomorrow morning. Dad says that after this second surgery, he feels "500% better"!!!
