@ablissfulclass @FreedomHillES @FcpsPOGPOL These students are awesome! I loved feeling their excitement to share their growth, listen to each others' stories, and celebrate their classmates' accomplishments. 🤗 Talk about a learning community where students feel valued and connected. #fcpsPOGPOL #POGinVA

Love how they share specific skills they know and use - talk about growth from the beginning of the year! 🍃🌳 These 1st graders are building a solid foundation for success now and in the future. As our world evolves, they will have the skills to shine! 🌟 #fcpsPOGPOL #POGinVA

1st graders saw my shirt today. One said “I help my team finish our work” pointing to the collaborator icon.” The other said “I speak so others can understand” pointing to the communicator icon. Making it visible actually works! Thanks @JeffLonnett! @FcpsPOGPOL #OneChantilly 💜

Inspired by ⁦@FreedomHillES⁩ 5th grade team planning #FCPSPOGPOL presentations with equity & family engagement at the forefront - scheduling student sharing times based on when families are able to attend. Appreciate their care & flexibility ♥️

@MrLandesman Schools/teachers must focus on WHO they teach: the students they are with each day. Fixed it for you ♥️

Fabulous thread with actionable suggestions for providing students with meaningful feedback

🧵Feedback was something that felt like a waste of time for me for a long time with my students. It seemed like I would spend hours providing it only to have it be ignored. I blamed the kids, when I should have been looking at my practice. Here's what I've changed... 1/

Appreciate this thread full of concrete examples that teachers can do to connect with students, check for understanding, and generally make the day better. Also a reminder that there's a lot of power in the little things we do - over time, they add up and go a long way.

🧵 Here's a list of random little things I do as a teacher that actually have weirdly strong impacts on student behavior, engagement, and motivation. I'd love to hear yours in the comments. 1/
