Eliminating the requirement to ask about fear has already resulted in many Mexican asylum seeking families being summarily deported w/o a fear screening, incl some who did express fear. Many intimidated, mistreated, scared to speak.

I was at the remote open-air detention site near the border in Jacumba where people waiting to seek asylum were instructed by Border Patrol to wait twelve hours and left overnight in the desert cold with no shelter, water, food, or medical care.

Biden’s asylum ban has caused irreparable harm and violence. It has led to thousands of erroneous expedited removal orders.
