Our Government has relaxed visitor visa requirements to allow tourists to work remotely while visiting New Zealand. Tourism is a key part of our plan to grow the economy. Because it’s only through a strong economy that we can create jobs, lift incomes and deliver better.

If we keep saying no, we’ll keep going nowhere. We need a lot less no and a lot more yes. That's how we drive economic growth.

My heart goes out to Mangawhai residents affected by this morning’s tornado. I understand there are still power outages in some places so encourage folk to continue to follow the advice of local authorities. Our thoughts are with all of those impacted by today’s events.
