@LaPointeJR @LouMerloni Devers has been a ~3.5 WAR player for most of the past five seasons. Bregman's been a ~4.0 WAR player in recent years, and he'll be lucky to get half of Devers' deal.

@TaylorTwellman If I could play Devil's Advocate for a second, not so long ago, the Revs were on a role with their scouting and development work... until they weren't. When you sell a star player in this league, there's no guarantee you'll replace him with someone just as good.
