Probably the last photo made of my dad Bobby Myers before the start of the 1957 Southern 500 in Darlington where he lost his life. He was 30. I always dreamed of racing there but being able to win there with the 3 team was one of the highlights of my racing career. 🏁🏁🏁

This is the start of the 1957 Southern 500 at Darlington. My dad Bobby Myers is in the center white car on the front row. Qualified 2nd. He led some of the beginning of that race. Unfortunately he was involved in a crash early in that race and lost his life. Always special 🏁🏁🏁
