Video guy. Currently work in footy. Ex VICE/Noisey & MTV. Director of docs like Skepta Top Boy, Hip Hop in the Holy Land, Rivals: Rangers/Celtic. Views my own.
It’s taken me everywhere from Japan, India and South Africa to Mexico, Lebanon and Stillwater, Oklahoma and I’ve worked with some remarkable people along the way. But anyone who knows me well, will know that this next move was something that there was no way I could turn down.
Gooners around the world you may not all know the name but you will know that voice and that passion. Devastating to lose Russ at such a young age. Thoughts with his family.

All of us that worked on the Inside Hale End documentary series were so intrigued to see how long it would take before one of the schoolboys in the doc made it into a Premier League squad. We were thinking more likely a couple of years than weeks. Good luck Ethan!
For anyone wondering, the track is Love Don’t Come No Stronger by Jeff Perry and I’ve been wanting to use it on a video for a while. One of those songs where I feel the world would be a better place if everyone listened to it first thing every morning.
I hate spoilers more than anyone but hoping you lot have all seen all of Top Boy now, so... how insane was that scene where Drake and Ed Sheeran storm into Shoreditch House and shoot the whole place up? Iconic.
Been cool working on this over the last few months with the team and to get a glimpse into the workings of our incredible medical department. So good to have Gabby back.
Today I bought a cup of coffee for the first time in my life, had three sips and concluded that all you lot that drink coffee daily are crackheads. See you tomorrow at the same time for my next thinkpiece.
Hey iPhone why are you so under-confident in your people identifying skills? Whenever someone calls that you don’t have a number saved for, you always say Maybe: then the name. And it’s ALWAYS them. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’ve got this.
There is no more emotional moment for me than finding out a friend is a proud member of hotmail gang. Never let anyone shame you for staying loyal to the OG email service. I hope this tweet inspires more people to stand up and say it out loud.
Never thought I’d be one of those ‘some news’ people but here we are. After just shy of 10 years, I’ll be finishing at VICE at the end of Feb. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity in the first place and can’t believe I’ve got to do this as an actual job for a decade.
Been an exhausting but fun couple of days working on all the Auba stuff with my very wonderful new(ish) work colleagues. Seems to have gone down pretty well 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Somehow within the blink of an eye, today is one year since I started the job. Still not done a day in the office or anything close to a normal matchday but it’s been pretty fun all things considered.
On this day 16 years ago we were filming Gonzo at The Great Escape and we had a new artist on first but there was hardly anyone in the venue and we were worried it would look bad so we grabbed some people off the street to fill the space. Wonder what happened to her…
I don’t agree with posting photos of strangers without their permission but making an exception as I have to find this guy. A mate sent me these pics of someone she saw on the tube and IT’S NOT ME. Now pretty convinced I’m adopted and was separated at birth from my twin.
Big congrats to the VICE team for picking up Best Video Journalism at the Online Media Awards last night in a really strong category with Channel 4, Sky News, Guardian etc.
Bit odd that MOTD2 made a massive deal of how they weren’t going to show the moment of impact of Gomes’ horrible injury out of respect but then had a huge image of his anguished face as the backdrop.
Just realised that it’s 20 years ago today that I got my first DJ booking when I lived in Paris. I invited a Swedish friend who was on my course. Asked her to bring her mate that I’d met once and had a crush on. 20 years later we’re still together❤️❤️
28 years (!) after the first time, I’m off to see Blur for at least the 15th time across London, Glastonbury, Manchester, V97, Spain and the US. Any excuse to get this photo out the archive.
At Nandos if you ask for your corn on the cob mango and lime, they put some sauce on it then put it back on the grill and it’s absolutely life changing trust me Pazza.
Guess I’m supposed to wish this clown
@alhan
a happy birthday. To correct a lie that he spread recently, not only have I not enabled his ‘career’ but I’ve been actively campaigning for his cancellation since the ‘tinking about tings’ days and will continue to do so.
I’ve had a nightmare here. Off on a nice mini break to Berlin, one of the world’s cultural hotspots and the flight is packed with sports fans. Not sure what they’re all going to see. Think badminton maybe.
I interviewed MF DOOM in the Old Blue Last once and it was probably the most nervous I’ve been talking to a musician cos he was someone that you just didn’t see in real life let alone get to have a conversation with. A genuine maverick.
10 FA Cup Finals in my lifetimes and we’ve won 9 of them. I’ve been there for every one until the one when I actually work for the club. Gutted not to be at Wembley but this one means the most. 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Left the country this morning for the first time since March 2020. Arrive in Paris and the wife is already on at me to stop doing work stuff and put that out of my mind for a few days. Leave the hotel, walk down the street and immediately stumble into Oliver Giroud.
