My mother told me tales of how they ran away from the river with the water at their heels, and the horrors that accompanied. Their home and everything within was washed away. Unfortunately not many in Pune now know of or remember the floods.

Fellow parents - teach your kids better. One of the things I've been trying to ingrain in my child is the importance of saying 'thank you' and 'please' in mundane interactions. Time will tell if it's there to stay but so far, so good!
6.5km walk. I am 63. Walking inside campus of a ‘in top 5’ institute of India, I gave way more than 6-7 student groups on footpath. Each time I stopped and gave way. Did not hear a single ‘Thank you’. All kids between 18-21yrs! All 95% types! A white bearded man giving way!!!
