Childrenās Wisconsin immediately prepared for a surge of patients after receiving notification from law enforcement of the incident at the Waukesha Christmas Parade. As of 8 p.m., Childrenās Wisconsin received 15 patients, with no reported fatalities at our hospital at that time.

This past summer, 4-year-old Ava was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Though she still has a long road ahead of her ā sheās expected to finish treatment in September 2023 ā so far sheās responding very well, and her parents are hopeful, faithful and grateful.

Katey has only been a nurse in the MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders for 2 months, but she knows these halls well. When she was 5, she had kidney cancer. She had the kidney removed and 7 months of chemotherapy. 17 years later, Katey is back ā but now as a nurse.
