family, due to a freak accident I’m going to be laid up with a broken hip for a while. Surgery today went well, but now rehab. I do not know yet when I’ll be able to get back to cards but will certainly keep you posted. Thank you all for understanding 👊🏻

Every Facebook card group I’ve ever seen: “looking for mike trout auto. must be from a Tuesday in March 2013 and he must be wearing a blue shirt. Must be BGS 10 and must weigh exactly 2.5737 ounces. I will pay below comps”.

It’s a first world problem, but if i spend time digging up every card i have for a certain team or player for you, at least respond to me afterward to let me know if you are interested. I won’t be mad if you say no. Positive interactions are worth more than cardboard. 🤷🏻♂️

There’s an eBay seller who always has a bunch of stuff i want, but charges a ridiculous shipping fee plus $.50 per extra item, with no cap. I wonder if people realize how much business they lose by charging like $7 to ship 5 cards? 🤷🏻♂️

Please help me to understand why someone would charge $10 shipping (usps first class) on a $20 lot of 8 cards. So many people are just going to skip right past your listing when they see that. I don’t get it. 🤷🏻♂️

Car thoughts: To me a PC should be exactly as it’s named: a “personal” collection. It should be something that has special meaning to you personally, not just “cards of all the hottest players”. To each their own, though.

It’s not the greatest thanksgiving, with me trying to recover from surgery, my mother in the hospital, and a few other personal issues. But I’m thankful for what i have and all my hobby friends who provide a great distraction when life is stressful. Enjoy the day everyone!

Got a box of cards from an eBay purchase. This is how they were shipped. Thrown loosely in an oversized box with some random bubble wrap draped over the top. Notice the several cards flopping around without even a toploader. Just when i think it can’t get any worse...

I wish eBay (and other platforms) would stop automatically marking an item as “shipped” when you print a label. Not much more frustrating as a buyer to check tracking on an item that was “shipped” 5 days ago, only to see that it hasn’t to made it to the PO yet.

New sale rule: Unless we have an existing relationship, i can’t entertain any more DMs asking for to see all cards i have for a specific player, team, or price point. Spent countless hours doing that this weekend and then was ghosted more than once.

Some facts about cards:
1. They are so damn slippery. A stack of cards in sleeves or toploaders might as well be made of ice.
2. They disappear. Inevitably, that card you just had in your hand two seconds ago will suddenly be nowhere to be found.

Credit where credit is due: i complain a lot about bad sellers, but today i received a well-packaged box, overflowing with nice extras, and only paid 3.90 shipping when the actual cost was $15(!). Faith in humanity restored.
