What Israel is essentially saying is: As the U.S. Constitution affirms, the primary role of government is to protect the right to life. A nation’s citizens should not have to live under constant threat of terrorism. Yet, you’re telling us we can’t defend our national security, our interests, and our people—even though safeguarding life is a fundamental responsibility of any government. We can’t simply accept living under this kind of threat. So Israel’s response is: You expect us to endure this kind of danger, but would you be willing to live with a similar threat? It’s easy to sit in comfort, point fingers, and pass moral judgments from afar. But when your own security is at stake, would you really hold onto those same lofty principles? And then, it turns out that you don’t actually care as much about morality—or what you claim is morality—because you’re not even willing to help the very people you say are victims of genocide. You won’t take them in. Instead, you expect them to remain in post-war rubble, living in tents, rather than offering them real support. So is this really about morality, or is it just about using them as a political tool? That’s the real question Israel is posing.

I don’t understand why that idea is considered so extreme. Let’s break it down. After any war, in any location—whether it’s Germany post-WWII or anywhere else—the aftermath is essentially rubble. That’s just the reality. So why would you expect the Palestinians to return to that destruction? That’s not in their best interest. If there are other countries that have expressed compassion for them, wouldn’t it make more sense for them to relocate somewhere stable rather than live in tents until Gaza is rebuilt? Relocation isn’t inherently a bad thing, especially in a post-war scenario where people are left with nothing. Now, I get that many of these Palestinians are not innocent. Most, in fact, are deeply indoctrinated into a death cult. But even so, there are children involved, and you can’t fully blame people who have been raised in that ideology. So what’s the better option? Forcing them to live in ruins, or sending them somewhere they can actually rebuild their lives? I just don’t see why staying in Gaza is the more compassionate or logical choice.
