A reminder as we move towards General Synod: CEEC has shown itself, consistently, to be a bad faith actor. It absolutely and resolutely rejects any beliefs or patterns of Christian living that even slightly contrast with its own. It does not wish to engage, talk, or discuss.

The failures of safeguarding highlighted in recent weeks are shameful and deeply damaging. It cannot continue. What is even more shameful, though, is making use of such failures to push a political agenda that uses victims and survivors as pawns in a game. It will not do.
