I think we can best try to understand God by looking at core “programming” of ourselves and the world. For example on the whole we tend to have a natural inclination to detest evil. My best guess is that this world is a proving ground of sorts where we need to conquer evil and suffering, both as individuals and as a singular entity. But I also assume any time I guess about God that I’m horribly wrong. Also when I say God what I really mean is whatever that higher power is - I believe there is more to what we are and why we are than just random luck and chemistry, any further guesses about what ‘God’ means I have no unshakeable beliefs
