Why are rudderless Latino Democrats beginning to look south of the border for leadership? By M@cesarmmelgoza | February 6, 2025 After the devastating loss of both chambers of congress and the presidency, Democrats overall linger in a bewildered state of disarray without a leader to motivate them into action. Many of those who are Latino have taken notice of Mexico’s new president for inspiration. Claudia Sheinbaum is Mexico’s first female president, a populist who attended UC Berkeley and among the few who have maintained her poise in the face of Trump’s intimidation tactics – this has not gone unnoticed by many Latinos of Mexican origin. Will her star continue to rise in her own country and north of the border as well? #CLAUDIASHEINBAUM #MEXICO #TRUMP47 #LEADERSHIP #LATINO @moxydotlive @LatinoLeadersUS

Latino Democrats are bewildered by Trump 2.0 – but are their voices essential to a balance of power? Trump’s win last November shocked democrats into a state of political paralysis. Once again, pollsters failed to gauge how well Trump’s discourse resonated as he drove flocks of voters to the ballot box. Record numbers of Latinos sided with Republicans, who bought the Trump line of rhetoric, even if some of it contradicted their interests. Leaders in the Hispanic community along with other business luminaries have aligned with Trump at astonishing rates as well. However, our constitution relies on the balance between legislative, judicial and executive branches – all now controlled by the party of Trump. What does that portend to our future as a democratic nation? Tap the image to read the full article in MOXY 👇 @moxydotlive @LatinoLeadersUS #TRUMP47 #LATINO #HISPANIC #DEI #SUPPLIERDIVERSITY #CMM

Digesting the American carnage of Trump’s inauguration day That memorable phrase in Trump’s 2017 inaugural address “This American carnage stops right here and stops right now” is etched on the minds of observers the world over – and his 2025 speech carried forward a very similar tone. Eight years after his first election and four years after his loss, although he sticks steadfastly to his denial and stolen election allegations, Trump is even more assertive as he resumes duties from the Oval Office. Why do corporate suppliers and marketing agencies seem shocked about the future of DEI? For decades, Hispanic and multicultural marketing surged in the corporate world as c-suites and boardrooms woke up to the fact that most of their growth depends on the meteoric spending of ethnic consumers. Now, with the backlash on affirmative action and on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), political winds have shifted dramatically in the opposite direction. Is ending DEI in conflict with the goal of capturing growth – which emanates predominantly from multicultural consumer spending? This oncoming debate is palpable, inevitable and necessary. #DEI #SUPPLIERDIVERSITY #CORPORATE #BOARDROOM #INVESTORS #LATINO #HISPANIC #MULTICULTURAL #AFFIRMATIVEACTION @LatinoLeadersUS @moxydotlive

@Jt4118Thomas One man's reason is another man's nonsense and vice versa; it's likely mostly bluster as it would be impractical to deport a purported 20 million illegal migrants - so by definition, bullshit time is far from over.

@Jt4118Thomas @LatinoLeadersUS @moxydotlive @realDonaldTrump That could be theoretically okay but the economy will be hit severely with labor shortages leading to inflation until a sufficient number of legal workers are allowed to replace them at acceptable wage rates comparable to what is in place today.

Two new Latino U.S. Senators were elected this year – and there is quite a contrast The 2024 elections shocked many observers. Among the outcomes are two newly elected U.S. Senators who happen to be Hispanic – Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Bernie Moreno (R-OH). From a heritage perspective, there are key similarities, but from a political perspective, the contrast is glaring. This is just one example of how Hispanic voters have become more diverse than ever, spanning ideologies, parties and geographies. What makes these to Latino Senators similar and different? #SENATE #RUBENGALLEGO #BERNIEMORENO #ELECTION2024 @moxydotlive @LatinoLeadersUS
