Fake CoT is worse than no CoT.
Updated chain of thought in OpenAI o3-mini for free and paid users, and in o3-mini-high for paid users.

@teortaxesTex Yes this makes it quite bad for use inside editors like cursor or agents. Hope they solve this in r2 because seeing the cot is so good for this use case

@DistStateAndMe Yeah, for now I keep using it to quickly filter and prepare data for Claude. One thing we do is fetch all our docs, ask deepseek page by page if it's helpful to solve the user's task, then include that in the query to claude.

DeepSeek switching language while thinking it's the most human thing it does. It's very natural to switch to the language used to acquire knowledge to apply it.
