Farmers play a role in preserving biodiversity and they must be recognized for their efforts. Biodiversity policies could be more effective if farmers are provided opportunities to contribute solutions and are involved in their design and implementation. #cdnag #cdnpoli

The greenwashing provisions introduced in Bill #C59 are vague & undefined. We encourage the Competition Bureau to develop clear implementation guidance to aid industry compliance & avoid unnecessary lawsuits. #cdnag

Bill #C59 introduced greenwashing provisions that could cast doubt on sustainability claims & foster consumer distrust. Farmers, growers and ranchers have been improving their sustainability practices for decades and their stories deserve to be told. #cdnag #cdnpoli

The lack of clarity around the Competition Act’s new greenwashing provisions introduced in Bill #C59 could diminish investment and innovation in Canada. The Competition Bureau must revisit these amendments and establish clear guidance for organizations. #cdnag

The carbon tax hurts Canadian greenhouses' ability to invest in technologies that help them continue to be leaders in the efficient production of food and other agricultural products. In turn, this makes their products more expensive and less competitive. #cdnag #cdnpoli

Les serres canadiennes représentent une part importante des exportations vers le monde entier. La taxe carbone les rend moins concurrentiels par rapport à d’autres pays, ce qui réduit les exportations, les emplois et la prospérité du Canada. #agcdn #policdn
