@ImNorthwestWind @grant_puskar_ why stop at $200m? Just count all contracts that never happened

@louiewisnyai @grant_puskar_ lol, the Dolan cousins aren't business partners nor do they share their $ on sports teams. Do you share your $ with cousins you aren't in business with?

@TomLasby @xJBx02 @grant_puskar_ but but some people think they are some of the wealthiest owners in MLB. Somebody is lying. They would give it up if a suitable owner wanted to buy the team but people with billions to spend on a MLB team in Cleveland don't grow on trees or come around very often.

@bradfordfini @grant_puskar_ not to mention they signed Santana, Bieber, and Sewald and all the other raises from last year...wow where did all the "savings" go?

@MattB_WOF @grant_puskar_ and Sewald so zero or negative savings in reality. Just more propaganda from the masses and media...shocker

@ClevelandDan1 @tomkemp20 @grant_puskar_ prob the bottom 10 payrolls/ attendance/revenues are "small market". No point in "spending a little more" to yield only marginal results if that. Being in the middle is the worst place to be. If you aren't a giant might as well be shrewd like 5 of the 12 playoff teams were

@TomLasby @grant_puskar_ worth over $1.3b when it was purchased for $323m 25 yrs ago. 4x not a bad return and they bought at the height of popularity. But too rich for smart money in a market with little upside in a sport with almost no financial parity unlike the NFL or even the NBA.

@grant_puskar_ imagine counting what's left of Gimmy's yet to be paid contract over the next 5 seasons as "savings" and having people believe you. Best case can say they saved $20m+ for 2025 on both players and decided to use it on Santana and Sewald instead. Prob zero savings involved.

@justin_sherrock @AntLavalle @TonyGrossi he is in a better situation for himself now than ever is all I'm saying. He had a good RB/game, generally decent OL in Cleveland although tackles were and still are suspect. Everything else stands out as a much better environment for him to excel...much less pressure too imo

@rylxur @CocoL24665 seem to take American politics pretty personal so for all intents and purposes

@ecalypso @ReneePerez @elmachuca "honorable leaders like Biden and Obama" lol...why wouldn't "the world stage" prefer those two global muppets that apologize for and make the interests of their own country a secondary or tertiary concern? That's not exactly an endorsement from any other stage

@tslate34 @TonyGrossi most play for the $ until they are no longer in their prime and realize how important winning would be for their legacy. Only one team truly wins every year, so I guess most players' careers and primes are "wasted"

@ricsr84 @TonyGrossi wild take, I'm sure said injured Brown had no impact on his decision either

@AntLavalle @TonyGrossi credit BM for the turnaround, but inherently throwing to Evans, having a running game, playing in good weather/indoors for ~90% of games, and playing 6 games against NFC South teams are prob all favorable as the QB of any team

@N_Penn10 @TonyGrossi who cares, he gets 10 sacks in 4 games every year and then forget he is even playing for about 10+ games
