A month prior to my commissioning date, after four years of study and two years of enlisted service in the Guard, I was disenrolled from ROTC for refusing the COVID vaccine. I was then discharged from the Guard. I have since reenlisted. Will @PeteHegseth reinstate my commission?

If one were to hollow out the influence of Imperial DC or even move the Capital entirely, Virginia’s center of gravity would shift southward to Richmond. Richmond itself would then be pulled from DC’s orbit into Raleigh’s, which is being pulled into Charlotte’s.

@Ferengi_Fiscal Big plants are the way of the past too. Tech has come a long way in lowering the size of them.

@Ferengi_Fiscal We don’t produce much because the demand isn’t there and what demand IS there can be met by much cheaper Chinese steel imported via third parties like Vietnam or Turkey. The demand isn’t there because of the Regulatory (EPA) environment strangling pretty much all construction.

As time goes on I yearn less and less for a Caesar. Sure, the first 30-50 years would be great. But then imagine the type of rot we’ve only tentatively left setting back in around far more rigid and closed power structures. To say nothing of the blood to be spilled on the way.
