Pig and I have a Super Bowl tradition in our command post: we bust out the salsa, queso, beer and snacks for our Super Bowl party but don't watch the game (and usually don't even know who's playing.) Cheetos Puffs has a new Cheese Pizza variety and it's weird but so are we.

Got this LP as a kid and was baffled at this Buddah Records (usually known for bubblegum) attempt to get in on "the punk rock thing" in 1977. Turns out it was Dick "Daddy Dewdrop" Monda (the "Chickaboom, Don't You Just Love It" guy) under a pseudonym.

Adam Ant's genius was that nothing he did seemed to quite make sense and yet you were certain there *was* a method to his madness and you just weren't getting it. And like Prince, he kept constantly mutating so you could never quite pin him down.

Last night I watched SUBURBIA (1996). A bunch of dumb guys get drunk by a convenience store every night and that's basically the plot. No, *really*. Always good to see Parker Posey and Steve Zahn though, and Giovanni Ribisi looking like the Green Day guy.

Terry Melcher (Doris Day's son), 1st famous with The Rip Chords, then as a hotshot producer who helped create the California sound, then for his association with Charles Manson. (Then he co-wrote "Kokomo" for the Beach Boys and was namedropped in OUATIH.)

Chicken Shack started in 1965 and they're still going today (though founder Stan Webb is the only constant member.) Christine McVie was a member for awhile before moving on to Fleetwood Mac. I heard this one on WREK's Stonehenge last night and dug it.
