I was making $9/hr working 20 hours a week while in college. I saved up to buy my 1st camera kit for $1k - 2 weeks later was let go from my job & contemplated returning it because i needed the $. I'm so thankful i didn't return it and turned it from a hobby to career!.

When i started taking pics of hoopers in 2011 i had multiple outlets/ companies tell me no one cares what players r doing off the court, what theyre wearing,about their sneakers. Its wild to see how mainstream culture has shifted!Bet on urself even when they don’t see the vision!.

My entire 10+ year career I have never asked for a shoutout, never asked someone to post my photos or to wear my merch. Every time someone does it - its authentic and it really means the world to me! Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported me!.

If people knew how many UNPAID hours I’ve put into being the photographer i am now and building the relationships i have to capture photos that no one else on earth can get, they would understand why i get upset when big outlets steal my photos with no credit/money. 😴.
