Exactly a month ago today, I shot what very likely will be a once in a lifetime setup for me. Morning bolts in Yosemite! Last one had 2 upward leaders coming off the rock. Days like these are when i feel extra grateful to live less than an hour away from Yosemite

Aurora seen WELL south into Mexico… this is closely equivalent in latitude to the southern tip of Baja… absolutely insane
I seriously never thought I’d get to see (and capture) an Aurora in my own home state (Sinaloa).
I am ~25 minutes away from my city, Culiacán, Mexico, and this is what I am seeing 🤯🤯

Feel the need to emphasize this again. Strong MJO was being forecasted for 2 weeks along with a massive Sudden Stratospheric Warming Event that occurred around February 20th. The odds were always in favor and models caught up. Time to start thinking about worst case scenario's
"Rumor Control". Again, its being talked about for a reason! This amount of rain falling on top of a 20-30 foot snowpack, and feet down to 3000 feet, is a recipe for disaster. This is how you get floods like Jan 1997. People wait too long to make a big deal about this stuff
