We created a beautiful amazing country and it’s on us to figure out politically, culturally, and fiscally how to move forward and upward, always. Previous generations would always talk about the world they were leaving behind for their kids and their kids. What hard questions are we asking ourselves? What will we do in our lifetime? America is great but we can restore it to the stature it once held across the world. Will we help fulfill its destiny or deflect our way to destruction? It’s all within our power. Yes I believe there is a way to cover the nuance of the application of a basic set of rules and laws without continuously rewriting the laws and the laws parallel of and/or intersecting with those laws to make every part of the nuance, part of the law. Call it defining the gray, if you will, meaning the gray areas between the actual simplistic laws that should remain simple.

He’s no hero I agree but it was a historical moment. That officer did compress his neck unnecessarily. George Floyd was down and cuffed and the situation under control. Despite being an addict and a poor citizen he was still a person and we all have somebody in our family that don’t make the greatest choices but we still love them anyways. This lends to his humanity. The human and personal side of that guy that died that day. Yes the drugs in his system and his mental state contributed to the situation, but let this serve as a reminder to remember that these people are exactly that…people.
