You’re right it’s not unusual, but what is is the fact that she “ghosted” everyone involved. Usually if a sale falls through, the buyer will say “I’m pulling out” as opposed to saying nothing for months

Just to add something, even if we hadn’t experienced our personal tragedy, we’d still be looking to move regardless. Having 4 grandkids rattling around a 1-bed flat at once is not the one. Currently our time with them is rationed which isn’t really fair.

We did try it this way the first time we went on the market and that proved difficult too. We used the current estate agent because they specialised in selling properties like this and would only sell to cash buyers, suggesting a quick sale. They couldn’t have foreseen this…
