Lawyer, UK/B'dos dual citizen, diehard Stokie, too old for football/cricket now, but still 6 hcp lefty golfer, fitness fanatic, married to a fiery Bajan Queen.
I love Stoke, I'm a born 'n' bred Stokie from a Stoke family of 100s of years, I love Stoke people, salt of the earth, honest, hard working, funny, kind. I do not recognise what my city has become, nor the people who claim to represent it in the name of patriotism.
#disgusted
Many Stokies laughing at Vale foregoing chance of promotion, but we should instead applaud the owners voting for the greater good instead of their own club's interests. We should be proud that both of our city's clubs have decent, caring local owners.

Schuey has found the dozen or so players he can trust, Ricky's gone & SJW has everyone pulling in the same direction, the crowd are fully behind us & the team are giving their all. A humungous 3 pts today. We're not the finished article but we've turned a corner & should stay up.
For those who think SJW's just an ex-pro who the club think would be popular, he has his UEFA A&B licences, a master's degree in sports directorship, has worked in a Premier League Category One academy as a part-time & full-time coach, as well as Republic of Ireland under-19s.
We got what we deserved tonight - nothing. Derby were better all over the pitch over the 90 minutes. Injuries, quarantine etc pale in comparison to Derby's problems this season. They outfought and outplayed a pitiful Stoke team. MON has some serious issues to address.
#SCFC
Tony Moanbray, now Chris Sutton, whinging about Stoke, which must mean we've started to matter again. People are starting to take notice of us, worry about us, and we're getting under their skins. As the previous purveyor of p!ss boiling of this parish might say - Triffic!
Stoke's Black Friday alleged racism is truly bizarre when you see the whole advert. I live in a majority black country with a black wife. I see racism a lot, from both sides. Anyone who thinks this is racism needs to give their heads a wobble, step away from twitter for a while.
Brown has been a revelation, with his hold up play, pressing from the front and never say die attitude. He is never going to be as technically accomplished as some others, but he's clearly working hard on being the best he can possibly be and deserves huge praise for his efforts.
Never understand booing McClean. He gave his all for us, was Player of the Season, never hid & tried his very best when plenty of others were going through the motions.
The funny thing about Luton fans today saying they are glad they don't watch us every week is that we've played some lovely football this season, but today we descended to their level to dig out a win. We won ugly because we needed to.
#scfc
Anyone having a moan about two 17 years olds in the back line making their competitive debuts needs to give their head wobble. Minutes for kiddies & squad players, plus a first sighting of the promising Koumas, with 2 youngsters scoring in a win - plenty of boxes ticked.
Junho verging on unplayable today. Plenty of effort all round. This is the team we stick with now. Playing like this we'll be safe no matter what freak results occur elsewhere. More of the same on a tough Tuesday night, please.
Choupo & Joselu on the pitch in a CL semi. Stoke the breeding ground for the upper reaches of the European game. What next, Sam Vokes & Lee Gregory in next year's final?
This is my club. The club of my family since league football started. I would support Stoke in the North West Counties League. I do not have the luxury of the casual fan of drifting away. If it is Championship football next season, so be it. It was all just so utterly avoidable.
This fixation with Liam Delap is destabilising. Gayle would have had 2 already if not for the officials. Brown has scored and presses from the front. Tye is way sharper & leaner than last season. Meanwhile, we defend like school kids & gift soft goals. The defence needs sorting.

All players must meet certain criteria to be eligible to play in the Ryder Cup. Sergio always plays enough in Europe to do so and is vital to our team. He also has a wife and young child and has to balance his worldwide commitments. This comment is naive and totally unreasonable
The PGMOL have apologised to Stoke City stating they should have been awarded a penalty against Southampton on Tuesday night and were unlucky that the free kick was awarded for Stuart Armstrong’s winner.
This is the 6th occasion this season the PGMOL have apologised for
New manager bounce even before he's announced. If that is Holden's last game, a nice way to go out for a good man who gives his all. Thanks for all your hard work
@deanholdenuk
Speechless, utterly speechless. Men v boys. 4-0 would not flatter us. This is a play-off quality team put together just too late to make the play-offs. Keep most of them, add 1 or 2 missing pieces, & next season might just be one to remember.
20th in the table with a team unsure of what they're meant to be doing & a novice boss who's walked straight into a crisis & is trying to change everything. That's all on JW&JC however you look at it. This looks set to be another relegation battle, but will we survive this one?
I see far more animosity towards Mark Hughes than Nathan Jones this week from Stokies on here. It's a strange world! I know who I remember much more fondly.

#SCFC
The time has come to set aside all our annoyance at our seemingly never ending decline, get fully behind SJW & Schuey & the team we put out in every single minute of the 13 games left, no matter what. We need to be the 12th man we were before & can be again.
#visunitafortior
Because Neil came in too late, he's stuck with MON's unbalanced and pretty unfit squad. To get on his back in his 2nd match in charge is a bit early even for Stokies.
Serious question, Stokies, as we're not going up or down and there's 8 games left. Should we prioritise playing our own younger players, like Forrester, DWP, Campbell, even DJT and Tezgel, ahead of loanees or those who will be leaving in the summer? For me, it's a resounding YES.
I really do feel for Nathan Jones. He has inherited a gutless bunch of wasters on long contract and big money, a CEO and Technical Director who've failed miserably over the past several years and a stadium chock full of Stokeflakes who boo passes backwards to retain possession.
@DeanWHUFC89
@GaryLineker
It really is a tough one, picking the winner. No, not of the World Cup! Between Diego and Neymar as to the most unpopular South American at this tournament.
#WorldCup
Aside from anything else about today's news (& my heart goes out to the Schumachers after upping sticks & moving 100s of miles), it reinforces our top 5 spot in the laughing stocks of English football stakes. We've been an omnishambles of a club for 8 years now; I'm sick of it.
Daniel Johnson has cancelled his contract at Stoke by mutual consent to become a free agent. A number of Turkish clubs are understood to be keen on the Jamaican international.
#SCFC
......and relax! Job well done by Schuey & the players, with positive signs that we're looking like a decent team again, one that can move towards the upper reaches of this league next season with some selective & successful recruitment in several key areas (incl. GK,LB,CB,No.9).
The standard of refereeing in the Championship needs to be urgently addressed. Woolmer allowed a challenge causing a career threatening injury without even a yellow & has missed numerous other decisions and looks woefully below the standard required at this level.
@FA_PGMOL
How can Stoke not spend a penny of our owners' billions without breachimg FFP rules, yet Barca can spend over 100m Euros whilst owing current players millions in wages? Make it make sense.
Landed at Heathrow to find our offer for a farm in Barbados has been accepted. Only a small one, a few veggies & fruit, some goats & chickens maybe, & the farmhouse needs a lot of work, but beyond excited to lay down roots in my wife's homeland now I have citizenship as well. 🇧🇧
It is over a week until the end of the window. Stoke have signed 13 new players, with 2 or 3 more likely. That is a stupendous effort from all concerned. 👏👏👏
@CaddieNetwork
Yes, increases the exercise, the enjoyment of the course as you walk it, and much easier to pull the right club than carrying a few across from a cart; all done without straining the back carrying a heavy load or sitting in a cart chugging beers all day.
Souttar gone in the summer, realistically, and maybe even in Jan. We sell too cheap too often, so time to sell dear at the top of the market on the back of a stellar WC showing. Bidding must start at 30m. No ifs or buts.
If Gayle comes and starts, we simply have to go 433 to increase our chance creation and goal output, with Campbell left and Brown right of Dwight, and one of the middle three needs to be Powell or a Powell type. We cannot just carry on playing beige football offering no threat.
How the good people of Stoke, who lived through the miners' strike and the Thatcher years, or should have been told well enough about them and seen the resulting decay with their own eyes, seem to have voted in Tories across the board beggars belief.
This is what transfer deadline day is all about, a lad sat in a bush with some binoculars, a flask of tea & some bacun 'n' chayze oatcakes ! Sir, I salute you, and the ridiculous lengths to which you are going to try to be ITK!
#commitment
Not gospel, so please don't shoot the messenger, but if the likes of Koumas, Lawal, Morton, Hoever, Cundle & Cannon are being lined up to sign for Stoke, once the injured return & newcomers settle, the squad will be looking far more like one that can compete in this league. 🤞
I think back to Forest away in January and could weep at the way we were totally mismanaged in the two months that followed. You can think what you like of me, but why is MON still in the job?
#MONout
@stokecity
We've been terrible penalty takers for years. Now we have a quality designated penalty taker, loads of Stokies seem to want him to offer the chance to take one to all and sundry. I don't get it. That goal could keep us up on goal difference. They all matter.
Smith gives us things Collins did not at right back. When fit again, Collins must play in his best position, at centre back with Souttar, as we build for the future.
Pearson is an Alex Neil man, a faithful lieutenant, a leader on the pitch who knows what the manager wants and expects. He could be the best of the additions, a key ingredient in the shithouse sandwich with Powell. Time for us to become a team others loathe to play against again.
My hero as a young kid, when he came to Stoke and tore up the league. For those who never saw him play, for a couple of seasons he was virtually unplayable and ten times the player his son is now.
#SCFC
Another wonderful 45 minutes of football. Pressing, pace, intensity, goals! Who are you & what have you done with Stoke City? Pearson immense, Axel composed, Smallpiece again a driving force through the middle, Tye, Brown & FBs stretching them. You'd think we're the team in 4th.
It's hard not to get carried away with Stoke's prospects for the season now, but 14 (soon 15) new players need time to gel, many have to get used to a new country & culture, a new style of football. We won't look like promotion contenders overnight; a bit of patience is needed.
So Vale are League One bound, by the looks of it! Happy for the fans. They've put up with a lot over the years and they are all from Stoke like us, albeit the part where soap is a scarce commodity and you can count half a dozen eggs on one hand.
#SCFC
Ki-jana is an enigma of a footballer. He verges between brilliance & ineptitude, not just between games, but often during them. You want to really like him, then oh no, what's he done, then another moment of magic.
4-0! For Stoke! Gayle, Laurent and Wilmot all very good. High press, energy, goals & a huge 3pts. Reading were poor but you can only beat what's in front of you (and we've failed to beat quite a few poor teams this season). A good result to help to persuade targets to sign too.
For all those with a downer on summer recruitment, and out of 18, probably half a dozen are proving worth it so far, with the jury out on a couple more, remember we signed Burger 22, Junho 20 and Junior 20, all for less than 8m quid. That is looking insanely good business.
Dear
@SkySports
, after poor defeats to Reading & Watford on TV, I am pleading, on behalf of all Stokies, that you do not choose us for live coverage again for the rest of the season. Thanks.
@GraemeDemianyk
That this person is anywhere near the top of government of the country is one of the most astonishing facts about modern Britain. How did she get elected? Who votes for her and why? What on earth are you people doing??? WAKE UP!!!!
Before any signing, first priority today should be to make Souttar captain and relieve Baker of the weight of the role, give him a couple of weeks' rest and seek to revive him mentally and physically. The poor bloke looks shot.
Interesting comments from Ryan Shawcross today: Laurent reminds him a bit of Nzonzi when he comes forward with the ball and Nzonzi & Arnautovic are the best 2 players he ever played with at Stoke.
The national media's response to MON testing positive tells you all you need to know about their PL/top 6 obsession. No concern for him or us, just for how close the precious primadonnas almost, nearly, but not quite, came into contact with the nasty, infected man.
#SCFC
If Liam signs, surely to goodness we have to play 3 forwards, and an attacking midfielder to get the most out of what should be the best collection of forwards in the division? To have our quartet of strikers and play boring, beige football would be almost a crime.
Bonham might be off? This window just keeps getting better. Sign an experienced keeper as back up to Travers - job done. Get Burger, Palma & Junior T too & we can let the recruitment team have a well deserved rest!
If I see one more "how can Stoke afford all these new players?" tweet, I'll scream. I know we all focus most on our own team, but the total lack of awareness of who owns us, what FFP is all about & how we are trying to operate a football club within its constraints astounds me.
The natural 2 league gap between Stoke & Vale is restored, we have the first semblance of hope that a Schuey team can really make a mark on this league next season. Oh, & we have a majestic South Korean talent on our books who is a delight to watch. It's been a good day.
