@fiona_616 @The_GA Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall - we've written Y7 SOL based on the illustrated version. Each lesson is based on one chapter, we share extracts, use for comprehension, inspiration and developing awe and wonder.

@fiona_616 One of my most favourite lessons. The sense of achievement is tangible when everyone gets a graph that is like the model. Using the visualiser is key for this one, and talking through each stage. Rulers and pencils at the ready.

@missgeog92 I remember doing this, and don't anymore. I'm especially not doing it this weekend after a rough week at work. I empathise, it's hard when it's in the moment.

@RallymanMurph @RogersHistory Ah but according to the parents the reason the trip is so expensive is to pay the teachers overtime when it's not school hours?! Erm, not last time I took a residential.

Northern Geography Conference 2025 Yay or nay? Thoughts please ... 2024 was very successful with participants getting a lot out of it. Is it worth doing again in 2025? Thank you Geography hive!

@adamboxer1 IME the parameters being used to diagnose many, not all, conditions, are geared towards a male physiology. This means girls are not diagnosed because they don't meet those parameters, not because they do not have SEND.

@Strickomaster This week's pearl was a child cheating in an exam! AI generated answers to the questions for him - the vocabulary totally gave him away. Lessons learned all round. I'm especially worried about sending home EQs to practice as the use of AI is prolific.
