It's cool that Kirby arrange won a Grammy but I'm not seeing any acknowledgement of the original composer and that's kind of concerning in light of this celebration of VGM
apparently this character has mad pull so i'm gonna pspspsp people into xenoblade using this character. if you play xenoblade you get to meet this character who is named a and is super cool. you might even meet a sooner than you think
A big problem in VGM both as an industry and as a fan community is a lack of any or proper credits for composers, instead crediting it to the series (as the Grammys just did) or giving more props to arrangers than the original composers. That puts a damper on the whole thing.
Welp since people liked my Bayonetta edits might as well re-post my edit of Pyra and Mythra based on Alvis and Future Connected Shulk
Again, not a mod (...yet); just an edit!
The singer of "Welcome to the New World!" from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Neichel, is a character from the New World, and the real identity of the song's singer is currently unknown. Her name comes from a word of the new world language, meaning "nature"
For the record, while Kirby Super Star has two composers credited (Jun Ishikawa and Dan Miyakawa), I BELIEVE that current Kirby soundtests confirmed that particular song is by Jun Ishikawa.
hey hey there buddy i'm just a normal guy in makna forest! btw i know your name, i know about your visions, and i know how to use the monado! hope this helps have a nice day 8D
do you think this design whips ass? have you heard that this character is agender and referred to with no pronouns? are you curious to know more? for the low price of mmmm three games and dlc
it's weird how xenoblade fandom takes toxic relationships and turns them fluffy. like a relationship where a guy kills a woman gets turned into fluffy space scientists. a relationship where a woman kills herself to get out of it gets turned into a fluffy malewife relationship
me: i'd also like to take some inspiration from kosmos for reasons. i know! i will go to the models resource to see if they have kosmos!
the models resource:
but yeah man i don't wanna be that person but really please stop leaning on they/them as The Nonbinary Pronoun. there's plenty of nonbinary people who don't use they/them and are just as nonbinary as those that do
the rex xenoblade meme is good one because positive attention towards xenoblade but two because it's nice seeing people be excited about their fav nb characters. rex is there
@archangelbf
my personal favorite detail is looking back at the bionis from the mechonis and it's like a rotting corpse instead of the beautiful lush scenery we were used to walking through
i hate that "yuri" has come to mean whatever so that people apply it to their f/m ships
there's probably commentary within that pertaining to how hashtag society views lesbianism but i'm too sick to make it
@HypraSeaPea
That's pretty typical of Nintendo tbh. A lot of franchises where people swear there's explicit romantic context (Mario and Zelda in particular) are actually left to the viewer's interpretation.
i wish that people had more empathy and understanding for others and the life experiences they bring to fiction rather than preening about "media literacy" when media literacy is in fact more complex than "agreeing with me"
basically at the kirby concert today, presumably the actual singer featured in forgotten land performed the game's vocal theme, but wearing a hat that concealed her face, so fans are going along with the Lore and referring to her as the name of the fictional singer she represents
fun facts this is my alvis/fiora fankid who is also a reincarnation of galea who is named. galea. she's going to appear in love foretold for like two seconds look forward to it
i will say it on here too but y'all have Got to stop giving monolith soft so much credit for botw/totk. i saw something last night that had me ? because totk and xc3 have completely different sound teams, and xc3's sound team doesn't even work for monolith
the xenoblade fandom needs to accept that different people have different tastes, not because they don't understand or because they're stupid, but because they're not you, they're themselves
idk the objectification is sexist in of itself so is it really better
like the WRITING may be better but "less sexist" is. not exactly true when it's. Like That
i don't go to xenoblade school but i think it's really funny that recently I learned that for all the loud complaints about the female character designs in xb2, the game itself is astronomically less misogynistic than xb1
Millie Bobby Brown reveals to Glamour that she credits her feminist awakening to a visit to a psychic, who informed her that she was, in fact, a feminist.
