Ten years ago today my 28-year-old son Byron died in his sleep. He was a drummer in a Scottish band.
This picture was the last day we spent together. My 8x Gt Grandfather James Mitchell the Covenantor was executed 50 yards to the left of Byron. Missed every day. xx

Just watched the 6.45 at Chelmsford.
My tip for this race was Royal Praise. I can't believe it went off at 151.60 return sp Betfair, but it did. Won easy enough. Main reason I pick early is I am not influenced by the price of the horse.

A horse ran last week that almost made my final 6 runners. I watched the race and have to say it was not going to win. It runs on Monday at Roscommon. I have no idea of the price. I think it is absolutely chucked in in this race. I will let you know it's name on Monday.

Bit of news when my wife came home today.
She had been nominated for the award for no 1 employee of the USA Tax Division.
Today, she was advised that she had won. So, off to LA for a few days. Dinner on the Queen Mary and the presentation. Very proud of her.
