has been pushed back one week. School will start on Aug. 24 instead of Aug. 17. This will give Canyons teachers, principals and Education Support Professionals, extra time to prepare for the school year.
One of the top football players in UT has been chosen for the prestigious All-America Bowl in San Antonio, TX on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. Corner Canyon High’s star defensive end Van Fillinger, and Longhorns commit, will be awarded his jersey later this month on the Charger campus.

, Canyons School District is dismissing school for two weeks starting the morning of Monday, March 16. This means schools will not be in session from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 27.
Expected extreme weather and dangerous road conditions are prompting CSD to pivot to remote learning on Dec. 15. While schools and District Offices will be closed, students will continue learning through technology or other learning opportunities. See .

Canyons School District is extending its free meal service through the end of the school year. This means all students — whether they are learning in the classroom or remotely — can receive free lunch and breakfast through June, 30, 2021.

Canyons Board of Education OKs contract with Canyons Education Association for the 2019-2020 school year. The contract includes a $7,665 increase for every teacher in CSD. This results in the beginning-teacher’s annual salary being raised to $50,000 a year.

Due to dangerous, and worsening, road conditions from this morning’s winter storm, all Canyons District schools are pivoting to remote learning today (Friday, Dec. 2). While schools are closed for the day, the day is set aside for at-home learning.
The Canyons Board of Education has opted to continue virtual-learning Fridays for the remaining six weeks of the 2020-2021 school year. Next fall, schools will return to a five-day schedule.
Please be advised that the grab-and-go lunches our schools have been serving are cancelled for today. The lunches have to be prepared each morning, and until we guarantee the safety of our buildings, we cannot allow our Nutrition Service workers to access prep areas and kitchens.
