Dems have indicated their only point of leverage in this Congress is w/Gov shutdown deal (which has to be bipartisan) But Dems are holding that leverage to push against Trump agenda “It is completely on Republicans to not have a government shutdown.”
Shutdown watch -- (Mar. 14 deadline) -- Speaker Johnson tells reporters: "It seems like by their comments, I mean, Leader Jeffries and others seem to be trying to set up some sort of government shutdown, which I think is very unfortunate. We were negotiating in good faith and trying to get the top line number. But so far as I know, they've been sort of unresponsive the last two days or so. So, I hope we can get back to it. We need to get this job done."
