@blakethinks @thirdwindow Fair. Hopefully it makes an appearance at a future Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme or something along those lines. Would love @thirdwindow to pick up some of Negishi's earlier films

Would love to see this film - doubt I'll ever be able to, especially with that running time. Though I have my fingers crossed that someone like @thirdwindow will pick up the restoration of Yazaki's (shorter) gem March Comes in Like a Lion
Apparently the last time this movie was screened was as a tribute to the late lead actress. It’s unlikely we will see it any time soon

Disagree with this quite profoundly. I just don't see how you can think that sharing a film not on DVD from the Yugoslav Black Wave is the same as sharing a film on the festival circuit with decent distribution prospects. And neither is equitable with the latest blockbuster
If you don't fully embrace privacy and free distribution then you shouldn't pirate, its really that simple, you can't half ass it or only do it when its convenient for you and your needs. Had a blast reading all the comments from the triggered people, thank you, you made my day.
