it seems like back then djs and producers built the scene together - most ppl that produced also DJ'ed or had some sort of live/hybrid act. Now we just have a lot of Dj's that can't produce at all 🤣 and a lot of spotlight demons with no interest in music history at all

Personally the standardization of techno in many major euro cities has really lead to some the most monotonous sounding shit I've ever heard. That shit has a lot of reach out here too unfortunately. There's this S*F*J mix that has the most boring songs I've ever heard.

My best experience spinning records in NYC has been when I played holo post remodel. The Booth is fantastic and second to that is Paragon. I love the nowadays system but some reason can never fully hear exactly what i'm cueing up which kills my confidence in the mix.
