CMRT call out for a male with a lower leg injury sustained during an avalanche. The climbers were able to self rescue down to the coire floor, they were met by the team and stretchered back to the ski area. Multiple reports of avalanches in Coire an t-Sneachda this afternoon.

Thanks for your good wishes re last night's rescue. We rarely criticise but this was total abuse of our resources. He was found in the bothy with his mates in their sleeping bags. We walked 26k in very poor weather to find him. He said he had a sore tendon!. Oh well!

CMRT were called out yesterday at 16.30 to a casualty who had been caught by an avalanche whilst climbing Central Gully in Coire an t-Sneachda. The climber had sustained a lower leg injury during the fall and his climbing partner remained on belay, unharmed.

The walker was found 6miles into the hill very cold and wet. After rewarming we were able to walk off to the vehicles. We would like to thank Gamekeeper Andy Dempster of Coignafearn Estate for his help, his hill knowledge and Argocat driving skills were invaluable on this rescue.

Call out last night at 9pm for a walker in difficulty on Braeriach. A potential for a stretcher carry, 17 team members made their way onto the hill with the help of Rescue 151. After treatment the casualty was able to walk off with help from the team. Back at base at 03:30! 😴☕

Call out at 21.30 last night to search for two walkers that had become lost whilst descending Ben Macdui. The couple provided a grid ref over the phone but had no torches. The Team located them in Strath Nethy just after mid night and walked them out to. Back at base 3.15am.

We have taken delivery of our new drone. We were able to fund this drone through a legacy left by Norman Pitcairn. Norman's family wished his legacy to be put towards equipment for the team. CMRT and the Pitcairn family agreed that the DJI M30T would be a great asset to the team.
