People learn to hate math because of the way it’s taught. I will die on this hill.
I had a convo with a first-year student today who could not believe me when I told him I am discovering new math as part of my job. How sad that our education system has limited the minds of our youth so much that they can't imagine the infinite mathematical possibilities
