It is a great loss not only to Brazil but for transboundary fisheries mgmt. During the past few months, I got to collaborate with Fabio on the CCSBT performance review and a paper that is in the review process. We lost a great human being, a practitioner and a valuable friend! 😢
COVID has taken the life of an extremely important expert in fisheries management and a good human. Fabio did it all, as you can see in this article from his home university in Brazil. I cannot overstate his impact on international fisheries management.
