@speakoutsister Be fair, these imaginary scenarios are important to them. Getting angry at stuff trans people *might* do solves fuck-all, yes, but consider how empty their lives would be without it.

@finngalkn Yep. Then: 'I just think he/she likes the drama'. It's an excuse to walk away & not help. Helping someone in an abusive situation requires courage (because abusers are scary) & it's far easier to dump all the blame on the 'weak' victim.

@finngalkn I think this is what's happening. People who should be allies are deserting her, labelling the things *she has to do for survival* as evidence that she's weak. Happens to DV victims all the time. They stop asking for help because of it.

@finngalkn I wish more people could think back & remember: if you ignore a bully, they just get up in your face & taunt you til you react. Shouting 'Why don't you fight back' at someone badly outnumbered, whose bullies are looking for an excuse to do worse, is so wrong.

@finngalkn I completely agree. She'd be putting herself in such danger & the verbal abuse would only escalate. She needs support, not more pressure. It's too much for one person.

@finngalkn Schoolyard bullies honestly get more pushback. Most kids don't stand for their friends being bullied, they intervene.

@finngalkn Completely agree, they'd be delighted & use it as an opportunity to fundraise. And every time she objected, she'd be labelled 'angry' and an 'activist'. Her colleagues need to step up.

When we're out I sometimes ask him to hold hands with me. He's long since worked out it's to slow him down. I now assume this is why all couples do it.

@BBCNews It's also okay for trans kids sport, with whatever hair. Irl, schools easily accommodate this. Most team sports are mixed anyway & there are usually only a couple of trans children per school. Teachers know how much playing with their friends helps them.

@speakoutsister I'm absolutely being lectured on period dignity by people who don't want trans men having access to sanitary bins & laugh at the idea of working-class kids being unable to afford pads.
