When Pia Wurtzbach won in 2015, Miss Universe Organization (MUO) talked to Binibing Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) to form a separate and standalone national pageant for MUPH, with Miss Universe Philippines being the very name of the competition, but still under BBP’s handling.
