Parliamentary candidate for East Grinstead and Uckfield, Labour & Co-operative UTC & Wealden district Councillor for Uckfield New town
@UKLabour
and
@CoopParty
Introducing your new Labour and Co-operative candidate!
I'm standing for parliament to ensure the voice of rural communities is heard in Westminster. Growing up in rural England is a privilege that has also helped me to understand the challenges that come with the territory.
REGISTER TO VOTE TODAY
As it stands, Boris Johnson is calling for an election on the 12th of December. This date has been picked so that students miss out on voting unless they get a postal vote application in ASAP. You can do this using the link.
Tomorrow we can make history. The polls say it is extremely close and that myself and Labour have the best chance to win change.
The only way to get change is to vote for it. So vote Ben Cox Labour for East Grinstead and Uckfield tomorrow and let's win as a community.
@mrwtch
But this time the USA are more likely to be on the wrong side and Russia are happy to see the EU like this. The UK have a massive role in fighting for what's right across Europe and we shouldn't forget that.
@wesstreeting
Wealden has never had a labour Councillor, yet on Thursday me and Dan Manvell became the first in 50 years. It goes to show we can win any seat if we really try.
@ClaudeBanstas
This is heartbreaking news. I really do feel for his family. Massive respect to
@LeeGunner82
@KennyKen1972
and the team for always standing by him when others dropped him. He will also be remembered for the love and heart he shows to the club.
I completely understand why the bank of England is doing this. But really gov should be increasing tax on luxury goods to squeeze inflation. People need to eat and have a home. Increasing interest rates is a blunt tool that hurts everything. The gov need a plan

Polling day and our team are out talking with people about our candidate for East Grinstead and Uckfield Ben Cox.
Vote Ben Cox Labour for East Grinstead and Uckfield for real change but you have to vote for it.
Just been to the polling station with my mum to vote Keith Wilson for Labour.
Keith loves our community and is passionate about making a positive change for Uckfield. Keith will give everything he has for our community and a vote for Keith is a vote for Uckfield.
Elected on 489 with the a majority of 79 at town
Unfortunately I lost district council by 19 votes.
At district we almost did it but this is not the end of the story.

I backed Keir to be leader and ran his campaign in Wealden because I knew history could happen with him
I had my first full council meeting today.
I am very proud to say I'm vice chairman of the finance sub-committee as well as being on the general purposes committee, environment and leisure committee and also the plans committee.
I look forward to a action packed year :)
I just want to say a massive thank you to my team for a fantastic, honest, clean campaign of hope and change for our community.
I would like to congratulate the conservatives for winning in East Grinstead and Uckfield and offer myself as a link to this changed Labour party to
I've put a motion to clean up our waters. But we need to do so much more. If elected I will make sure that a labour government stops the dumping, puts criminal charges where it is needed and makes our rivers and sea safe again.
Vote Ben Cox Labour for East Grinstead and Uckfield
Out delivering my leaflets today on the drive in Uckfield. I'm a local born and bred person of Uckfield with our community at the heart of my campaign.
I have a track record of delivery in local government.
Cutting food poverty by opening a community fridge ✅
I'm so proud of my party and this beautiful movement. Being a Co-operative is a way of really working as a community and to see so many people with our values in parliament is fantastic and just the start. Well done all
🎖️ WE'VE BROKEN THE RECORD 🗳️
We've now elected our largest EVER number of MPs at an election.
Thank you to every candidate, every member and every voter who made this possible. 🐝

Yesterday I had a lovely day talking with people in East Grinstead. So many people saying they will vote for me and Labour because enough is enough. I attended the hustings last night and expanded I can't promise the world, but I will fight everyday for the community I love and
Good news for the people of East Grinstead and Uckfield who both have a poor service at the moment. With cancellations becoming a regular part of the weekly commute. You asked for it and Labour is delivering it.
✅ Public ownership
✅ Improved services
✅ Better value for money
Today is polling day. The polling stations open from 7am till 10pm and please remember to take photo ID. We can offer lifts in the afternoon if you need to get to a station. This has been a wonderful community campaign and all about you and localism.
Tonight I campaigned and won Keirs nomination at Wealden CLP.
A good clear result in Wealden First preference result:
Keir 21, Becs 8, Emily 5, Lisa 4
Keir also won the 2nd preference.
We have a good list of volunteers now too :)
I would just like to say a very special thank you to everyone who came to the community Christmas lunch.
It was a great success with 70 people and lots of lovely memories made.
I find it a pleasure and a privilege to be able to cook the dinner.
It is time for change in East Grinstead and Uckfield. With mortgages up higher than most can afford, our high streets closing up due to expensive business rates and parking charges and the police no longer there, our community can't afford the conservatives anymore. Vote Ben Cox
I'm out today in East Grinstead door knocking and the key subjects coming up are family and family finance. I know times are hard and labour want to do our best by your family.
Tackling anti social behaviour and knife crime is key to making your children feel safe.
Service to our nation runs in my family, with my brother being a fire fighter in Sussex. I have a long track record of fighting for our public services. Please see a link to my successful campaign to stop the cuts to our fire service in East Sussex. Showing this is an
It was lovely to be out in Uckfield today, my home town to talk about my positive campaign to be your representative at Westminster.
People are telling me they really want change and they want a labour government. But we have to vote for it. So next Thursday the
Yesterday we learnt that councillor Mayhew will no longer be a New Town councillor. Due to not attending meetings for over 9 months.
I believe it's a privilege to serve the community. Myself and Councillor Dan Manvell put our heart into the role,
We had a wonderful day in Uckfield today. Many people saying they want change and have voted for me. We are still getting people asking for boards and posters. If you would like one, please message. Change isn't inevitable you need to vote for it. So vote Ben Cox Labour
More boards up on Framfield road. If you want a board please message. Also your leaflet is also a poster. I will be door knocking as much as I can and putting my positive vision for the future for our community. Change is needed but it isn't inevitable, we need to vote for it.
@KS4P45
@siennamarla
How is it? We won in what are hard and trying times and with a vote splitter... If anything the left vote is strong there and the Tories did bad. We got 13k and the "left candidate" got 8k ... So
If the government want ID before casting votes, then the government should pay for them and offer free voter ID cards. This news is just a way of keeping people out of elections. What a disgrace.
This is a a statement of our total disregard towards those who live in hardship. This is sickening and is just as low as some of the news coming from Westminster.

Having the support of other labour leaders in our region is how we get inward investment in making our community greener & cleaner.
Labour want to make where we live the best place to bring up your family but also a viable place for your children to stay & start a home
Really proud of the way our new government have hit the ground running and the hard work

Big difference between private schools and state schools. Private schools will be able to do so much better. As the kids are money to them.
For the last 7 years, I have worked with Sussex police to tackle youth crime and anti social behaviour as well as knife crime. With a new inspector joining the team, I will put to him a 5 year plan to tackle crime. This includes working with school, councils and business.

On the 6th of May, the polls will open for the County Council elections.
In Uckfield South and Framfield you have two options. Ben Cox Labour and Co-operative or Conservatives.
The Sussex PCC result for 2024
Share of the vote
Tory 39% of the total vote.
Labour 31%
In 2021 on the first round it was
Tory 47.28%
Labour 18.68%
A great effort

The arts gave my brother the confidence to be the Artful Dodger the the Uckfield theatre guild as a young person with no experience before. It gave me the confidence to be in politics. The arts give young people a chance to express every part about them without judgement.

I am really pleased to be one of three nominated to stand for Uckfield South and Framfield, at the County Council elections on the 6th of May.
I'm proud to be the only candidate standing who lives in the area he wishes to represent.
@Jo_Coburn
Jo, you do an amazing job in what I can only say are hard times. You hold your own when silly people talk you down at work and you are clear and smart with answers back. Fools will be angry but forget them. You smash it all the time. Keep up the good work.

A new deal for families and schools. I promise to make things easier for you and your family if elected. Here with what I promise to achieve for you.
I will push for more youth clubs and to give young people a voice locally. But here is what Labour promise you and your family.
I have started delivering my election address. This highlights my 5 pledges to you and our community. I haven't promised the world and nor can I, but I promise to give everything I have for our community and to get our voice back at Wealden.
Uckfield can't be forgotten anymore.

It's funny because in government they have 150 ppl+ each floor working in housing department, education and many more. They haven't asked them to work from home & in fact asked them to work in other departments when people get sick. The gov should be better than this. Dangerous
Labour will fix our roads. Labour is the only party on the side of drivers, with our plan to fix up to one million more potholes every year and crack down on soaring car insurance costs
Our roads are a disgrace. I am working with West Sussex Labour group and I will work with

How is being 5k votes shy of the winner a less than 1%? The Tories didn't want a recount so it didn't happen. He was no where near winning

grew up in. Other parties can offer wish lists, I can offer you a voice in a government. There are only two parties that can govern, don't lose your voice in that government. Vote Labour.

A zero publication of names is the 1st step to taking the pride and hype from the sick people involved. A very good idea and something we all should do.
Yes, yes and yes again. When Jo was killed I vowed the same. I have often genuinely forgotten the person’s name and my kids have never heard it. Notoriety is such an important driver for terrorists and we should all get better at denying them it.
Voting Labour at the general election, is voting to move out of the stagnation under the Tories, voting Labour is a vote for safer streets for women and girls, voting Labour is a vote to stop our rivers and sea being a dumping ground a vote for Labour is a vote for your community

represents my feelings on how Labour can start to rebuild. It is by being on the side of hard working people and talking with small and medium businesses that Labour will grow. This election is a turning point for the party and for the nation.
