@exmouthjournal Clickbait rubbish. Let me rewrite the headline: "People who maxed out a fixed term ISA allowance to be paid interest due"

@DaveThroup @carlgallery Looks like that was taken from Pinnacle looking north. I've only ever witnessed one deep inversion from the hills and I was stood on the beacon looking south. Several times since I've been up and seen blue sky a few metres above but not actually been above it.

@MalvernGazette "Walkers enjoying the Malvern Hills" Are you sure? I could understand a national trying to pass off a decade old stock photo of people walking on Long Mynd as the Malverns but not, erm, the Malvern Gazette.

@Jamie_Woodward_ Yes. But you're doing yourself no favours presenting the stats this way. The price rises are over three years and you're comparing to annual inflation. So still ridiculously high compared to inflation but please don't compare apples to oranges.

@SouthWestWater So, 112 by December. Or 55 more than the entirety of 2023. Or 238% of the 2023 figure. Or 16 times the 2019 figure. Offset by the good news of seeing an "only" 11% rise in bills next April. Could be worse. Could live in the Southern Water area.

@LBC I know you guys like to be a little sensationalist but I don't think anyone's buying "two metres"

@Our_Exeter Yes. I was driving the kids to scouts and thought "what the **** is that?!?". Ironically I could have swerved the car due to a safety message And we're not even in the red area so it's a little blunt if sent on a county level when the red warning is only for part of the county

Saying "Broughton Hackett near Upton Snodsbury" is a bit like saying "Aylesbeare near Tipton St John" i.e. it doesn't help #universitychallenge

@RobBirkby Yeah I have a Mastodon, a Vero, a Threads and never use them. BlueSky does seem to be getting traction though (had it for about a year and it seemed like another novelty until recently). Worse case scenario for me - it tanks and I come back here to refind people.

@NeatyC @bluesky That's part of my problem as well. The community is building over there but not enough for me to wave goodbye to Twitter yet.

Well, this could be a little Marmitey I guess. I went to #Dartmoor yesterday looking for autumnal colours. I found plenty of those but I am also a sucker for bare-leaved trees and these two, by Burrator Dam, stood out to me and just asked to be photographed.

@tismenic70 No debate. I just wish it'd actually happen this year in Devon. Colours quite subdued and a lot of green still
