@ArtOfFishShell @nobabody @8ananaRepublic @CNviolations everyone who has had depression knows it is not chemical, but rather mental and emotional exhaustion. if we started treating depression in the same way we would treat physical exhaustion (ie rest from stress) then we'd begin to see more cures.

By a majority of 277, the House of Commons has (finally!) voted to introduce a Deposit Return Scheme, by approving the Deposit Scheme for Drinks Containers… Regulations 2024. Whilst the introduction date of October 2027 feels unnecessarily far away, as a river guardian & litter picker it feels like a real relief that it may only be another couple of years of the worst of picking up other people’s mess & trying to hold back the tidal wave of single-use containers that coat so many parts of my river. This is a real and tangible win for the environment & the government deserves credit for making it a reality after so many years of stalling.
