@MurrayMusing
podcast - will talk about Andy Murray a lot even if not asked. Run from time to time, 4 x Marathon finisher. She/her.
Just overheard a couple behind me at the airport saying they think it’s “really sad” so many people are wearing their medals from the marathon (naturally I have mine on) - personally I think it’s really sad that they’re so bothered by others being proud of their achievements 💁🏼♀️
I would just like to go on the record as saying I have NEVER seen
@andy_murray
lose a match in person at the Aus Open. 100% record - 8 matches, 8 victories. Onwards we go.
The audacity that Andy Murray, who’s won Wimbledon the same amount of times as Rafa, and was the first British man to achieve it in 77 years, isn’t on this poster.
“Thank you for the sacrifices, the pain, for refusing to quit when your body gave way, and for coming back to do it all over again. But above all, Andy Murray, thank you for making us so proud along the way.” 🥹🤧

Ecco i migliori 5 tennisti in attività per % di vittorie. Del Potro è con quei 4 lì. E senza mala suerte lo sarebbe stato per anni
🇷🇸 Djokovic 83,25% (989-199)
🇪🇸 Nadal 83,24% (1038-209)
🇨🇭 Federer 82% (1251-275)
🇬🇧 Murray 76,2% (696-217)

A seven hour wait in the queue apparently. This is not an “experience”
@Wimbledon
it’s antiquated and not inclusive for people who don’t have the ability to queue for this length of time. Sell grounds pass online pleeeeease.
Last night I got to watch Andy Murray live, in person, at Wimbledon for the first time ever. Despite having to leave at the start of the 3rd set to catch my train back to Scotland, I can safely say it was one of the best matches I've ever experienced.
The only thing that’s happened in tennis in Australia today is Andy Murray reaching his first ATP final since 2019. I care not for anything else. Drama free tennis Friday please and thanks.
Just a nod to acknowledge that this man played on and finished his match on a ruptured ankle ligament yesterday. Not only that, but he damn near won it. Further proof, as if it was needed, that Andy Murray is superhuman.
Andy Murray has suffered a full rupture of his Anterior Talo-Fibular Ligament and near full rupture of his Calcaneofibular Ligament Injury.
Murray will be out for an extended period ❌
Andy Murray will be flying over Glasgow (Scotland), my home city, sometime between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM. I will stay up all night, track his flight and will salute towards the night sky when he overflies my city. It's the least I can do for my champion.
No one speak to me for at least a week. Devastated doesn’t even begin to describe it. That incorrect line call in the 4th would have changed everything.
Hi
@Wimbledon
- here’s a thought, maybe consider the weather in advance and put a couple more matches on CC and Crt1 starting at 11am - the way the weather is going we’ll still be playing R1 matches on Thursday at this rate.
To top off our Davis Cup experience today, here is
@andy_murray
literally trying to show me how to take a photo for my daughter because I kept fucking it up. Thankfully he’s a pro 🫡
Can’t find the words to describe how I feel about
@andy_murray
& his performance this week in Melbourne. To say I’m proud to be his fan would be an understatement. He is superhuman and he’s been exceptional this week despite all the odds stacked against him. Always my champion.
We’ll never see Andy Murray play singles at Wimbledon again. It truly is the end of an era. So very thankful I got to see him last year on Centre Court - such a magical experience.
Thanks for the memories champ - you’ve given us a lifetime of joy, and high blood pressure.
My adult life has been so much about Andy Murray. It wasn’t the result I wanted to see tonight but what an absolute honour it was to lose my voice over this man on Centre Court one last time 🩷 forever my champion.
I left absolutely everything out on that course today. Every ounce of me. My body is broken - but I got a PB and I can retire from marathon running a happy lady. London, you were ace.

(yes I am crying my eyes out with my medal at the finish)
Decided - out of curiosity and hope to see Andy Murray - to explore the prospect of going to Laver Cup. Cheapest available ticket for session 1 on Friday (two singles matches) is £310. Cheapest for session 2 (two singles one doubles) is £398. But tennis is accessible to all.
Thirteen years ago Andy Murray signed this flag, on the Margaret Court Arena, after winning his 2nd round match. Tonight he reigns victorious on the same court. He is the moment. He isn’t done. Arise Sir Andy.
Ten years ago today my wee mum died. She loved Andy almost as much as I do. Today has been difficult but in my heart I feel like part of that win was for her. Thank you Andy 🩷
Dear
@andy_murray
- stellar win today. Truly, we love to see it. And we love you to bits. But for the sake of our tickers (especially us geriatric millennial fans) it would be much appreciated if your next match could be a nice two-set win. Yours in anticipation, the fans. 🫶🏼
@cqmerqn
Not that I’m defending him, but this article is actually about how she was forced to quit/got sacked, yet Ant was given the full support of ITV after he drove a car high as a kite and crashed into a young family.
On this day 11 years ago Andy Murray won his first Wimbledon championship. It’s etched into my memory: I’ll always remember where I was, who I was with and what I was drinking (0% sparkling wine on account of being *very* pregnant) - what a day it was. Arise Sir Andy 🫡
I’m so gutted for Andy, but more than anything I’m so proud of him - he just played 5 matches back to back which is something we haven’t seen for a long time. He’ll be fired up for the AO and I’m here for it 🙌🏻
I feel like this post will literally make Mirra’s year. She could win the AO and be like, highlight of my year was Andy Murray - so beautiful in life - tweeting about me during AO 😍
Andreeva down 5-1 in third. Commentator “she really needs to work on mental side of her game.. she’s too hard on herself when she’s losing”
30 minutes later 7-6 Andreeva wins.
Maybe the reason she turned the match round is because of her mental strength. Maybe she turned the
Mischa really thinks his brother - who has yet to record a win over a top 10 player in a slam - can take out Alcaraz, Djokovic and Tsitsipas to win the title. What drugs you taking, son?
Andy Murray said a few months back that he really doesn't think people would come if he had a retirement tournament or event.
I need every crowd in attendance for all of his final matches this year to show him just how fucking wrong he is.
Seeing so many people saying Andy should’ve confirmed by now what he’s doing, it’s not fair on his opponent, LL etc.
Azarenka withdrew approx an hour before her match today - there was a LL ready and waiting.
This man has earned the right to wait, see and hope.
Ok so I know the wedding ring being missing is a huge issue… but I’m also struggling to take away from this the fact he’s still only travelling with one FREAKING PAIR OF SHOES.
**really hope you get your ring back Andy 😬 🙏🏻
Isn’t it mental that despite the success of Andy and Jamie Murray - and all the subsequent work Judy has done to raise awareness and widen access to tennis - that the number of indoor courts in Scotland hasn’t changed since they started playing professionally?
Even in loss Andy Murray is such a babe for his young fans, signing autographs and giving one of them his cap. That will absolutely have made their night and they’ll never forget that moment. What a great guy.
I am so, so bloody proud of Andy. Today might not have been the outcome we were hoping for but the signs for the rest of this season are looking so positive. What a week it’s been. I hope he knows how appreciated and amazing he is.
There's chat on here about the possibility that Andy Murray may never again play in the Davis Cup and while I hate thinking about that, if it does turn out to be the case, there will always be this moment when he stopped time with a tennis shot...
It’s been thirteen years since I first saw
@andy_murray
live at the Aus Open. I went to every single one of his matches bar the final, which I watched in the pouring rain from Federation Square. On Tuesday we go again…
#betterneverstops
So can we all just agree that the GOAT and the Big One is Andy Murray, and the Medium Three can fight it out amongst themselves for 25 slams or whatever. *polishes Andy’s Olympic gold medals*
😇
Love watching
@chrishoy
doing his commentary on t’telly, comes across so well, a genuinely nice, down to earth person, with a great understanding of his sport. Also seems genuinely interested in the sports of others. More of him please BBC!

Nobody, not even Sue Barker, is immune to Matteo Berrettini's charm. 😍
A lovely moment at the conclusion of the Queen's final.

Hi
@andy_murray
@serenawilliams
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking today and I really think it’s for the best if you team up for mixed doubles at Wimbledon this year. So… let me know yeah 🤙🏻
This is extremely damning - and no one, surely, can make any sort of excuse in Novak’s defence here? He got a positive result on the evening of the 16th and yet was pictured, maskless no less, at events on the 17th and 18th.
Andy Murray winning 5 games in a row to clinch the third set, and the match, from 4-1 down is absolutely VINTAGE. File that under things I love to see, immediately.
