@GastricpH My thyroid, estrogen and progesterone were all off. I was hyperthyroid and had too much estrogen and progesterone. Did you also experience your hormones being off?

@Laura__J__ I didn’t know about all the medication side effects I was experiencing. Many patients dont. Anytime I brought that subject up to my psychiatrist I was dismissed.

@BTexas1969 @fiapsa @juniorwoodchuk I agree with the thyroid needing to be checked. It’s not just hypothyroidism that causes weight gain either. Hyperthyroidism can cause increased hunger.

@Health100_ You’re welcome. I actually read somewhere that how the chickens are kept makes a difference in how inflammatory their meat will be. Switching to free range chicken might help you. It has much lower omega 6’s.

Hi-intensity exercise does deplete my glycogen stores but unfortunately in my own experience this will then elevate my cortisol which causes a temporary increase in my glucose. When my glucose is elevated it means my ketones can drop. Low ketones mean I can have symptoms of my schizophrenia. I know hi- intensity exercise has its benefits though.

@johntyler0523 @MelissalM @GeorgiaEdeMD @ChrisPalmerMD @Metabolic_Mind I recently spoke about my struggles and the benefits of implementing a ketogenic diet in my life. Ignore my red blotchy chest I had just found out I was hyperthyroid again.

I eat 3-10 net carbs a day currently. I cut this recently from 20 to see if it would improve my withdrawal symptoms or raise my low ferritin levels. As for protein I eat about 70-80 grams of protein. I recommend working with a dietitian that specializes in metabolic psychiatry. They have lots of helpful information they can provide. @KetoPotterRDN
