My grandfather, who was a LHP, has now gotten up from the kitchen table to teach me how he threw his split finger fastball and curveball that would “go 10 ft up in the air and dive down right over the plate.” He says he can still do it. He is 89 years old. 😂😂👏🏼⚾️

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Yankees legend Whitey Ford. My grandfather knew him well, and played with him in the Queens-Nassau sandlot league. He holds the best winning % of any pitcher in modern history. Whitey was the heart of baseball’s greatest dynasty. RIP. 💙
